Standard Requirements and SAR Test Exclusion
This evaluation is conducted according to FCC regulations § 15.247(i) and § 1.1307b(1), adhering to KDB 447498 D01 General RF Exposure Guidance v06, section 4.3.1.
The 1-g and 10-g SAR test exclusion thresholds for frequencies between 100MHz and 6GHz at test separation distances ≤ 50mm are determined by the formula: [(max. power of channel, including tune-up tolerance, mW)/(min. test separation distance, mm)]*[ √ f(GHz)]
. The threshold is ≤3.0 for 1-g SAR and ≤7.5 for 10-g SAR extremity SAR.
Test exclusions apply when the minimum test separation distance is ≤ 50mm and transmission frequencies are between 100MHz and 6GHz. A 5mm distance is applied if the minimum separation is less than 5mm.
Routine SAR evaluation, as required by § 2.1093, is not necessary for portable transmitters with output power below the applicable low threshold.
