Physical indicators

Provides evaluation scores for workouts, including training load, recovery time, VO2max, and training effect. Detailed explanations are in the Workout Status app.

Training Load (TE)

TE measures aerobic capacity improvement. Score ranges from 0.0 to 5.0, indicating intensity and effect. Higher TE means greater intensity and body load. Consider body load if TE reaches 5.0.

Aerobic TE Score Effect on Improving Aerobic Capacity
0.0-0.9 No effect on improving aerobic capacity.
1.0-1.9 Improves endurance, ideal for post-workout recovery.
2.0-2.9 Helps maintain aerobic capacity.
3.0-3.9 Significantly helps improve aerobic capacity.
4.0-4.9 Remarkably improves heart-lung ability and aerobic capacity.
5.0 Post-workout recovery required for non-athlete users.
Anaerobic TE Score Effect on Improving Anaerobic Capacity
0.0-0.9 No effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
1.0-1.9 Slight effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
2.0-2.9 Helps maintain anaerobic capacity.
3.0-3.9 Significantly helps improve anaerobic capacity.
4.0-4.9 Significant effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
5.0 Post-workout recovery required for non-athlete users.

TE score is based on profile, heart rate, and speed. A low TE score means the workout is too easy for improving aerobic capacity.

How is it obtained?

After a workout with heart rate monitoring, the watch displays the TE score with comments/suggestions. TE scores can be reviewed later.

Workout status

Includes current training load, full recovery time, and VO2max, determined by profile and heart rate. Accuracy improves with more data.

VO2 Max (Maximum oxygen uptake)

Indicates oxygen consumed during maximum-intensity workouts, crucial for aerobic capacity. VO2 Max is personal, with different standards by gender/age. The watch evaluates capacity based on profile, heart rate, and speed. VO2 Max values map to seven athletic ability levels: Novice, Elementary, Ordinary, Medium, Good, Excellent, and Superior.

How is it obtained?

  1. Enter your profile correctly in the app.
  2. Run outdoors for at least 10 minutes with heart rate reaching 75% of maximum.
  3. After the run, view current VO2 Max in the watch's workout record app or on the "See more statuses" screen.
  4. VO2 Max values map to seven athletic ability levels: Novice, Elementary, Ordinary, Medium, Good, Excellent, and Superior.

How can I view it?

View current VO2 Max in the watch's workout status app or view history/trends in the app.

Training Load

Calculated based on EPOC. Higher score means longer workout time and greater intensity. It's the total training load over the past 7 days. Ranges: low, moderate, high. Low load doesn't improve athletic ability much. High load may cause fatigue or injury. Keep load in the moderate range for continuous improvement. Accuracy increases with usage.

How to obtain training load

Obtain training load after reaching minimum level in workout mode. View 7-day load in the watch's workout status app.

How to view the training load

View training load and trends in the watch's workout status app and the companion app.

Total Recovery Time

Recommended time for full body recovery. Recovery suggestions are offered based on heart rate to help better recover and avoid injury.

Full Recovery Period Workout Suggestions
0-18 hours Fully or nearly fully recovered; can do slightly higher-intensity training.
19-35 hours Train as usual and prepare to strengthen regimen again.
36-53 hours Reduce training intensity to gain benefits from last training; do recovery workouts to relieve fatigue.
54-96 hours Proper rest allows benefits from last high-intensity training.

Heart Rate After Workout

The device measures Heart Rate After Workout within 3 minutes of workout end. Results are in the Zepp app's workout record. If the next workout starts immediately, the previous measurement is terminated. Delayed termination may affect accuracy. For timeliness and effectiveness: 1. End workout promptly. 2. Wear watch properly within 3 minutes after workout end. 3. Wait at least 3 minutes after previous workout end before starting the next.
