Overview - Front Panel
1. Power, Hard Drive & Network Statuses: Indicates the status of the power, hard drive, and network connections.
2. Channel Statuses: Displays the status of connected camera channels.
3. Navigation Controls: Used for navigating menus and settings.
4. Power Button: Turns the device on or off.
5. Playback Controls: Controls for reviewing recorded footage.
6. Switch Keyboards (shift): Functionality related to keyboard input.
7. Start/Stop Recording (rec): Button to start or stop recording.
8. Special Functions (fn): Accesses additional functions.
9. Back/Cancel (esc): Returns to the previous screen or cancels an action.
10. Info Button: Displays information about the device or current status.
11. USB Port: For connecting USB devices like mice or flash drives.
Overview - Back Panel
1. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter here.
2. Power Switch: Main power switch for the device.
3. Camera Connection (PoE): Connect PoE-enabled cameras.
4. RS485 Alarm: For connecting alarm devices.
5. Monitor Connection (VGA): Connect a VGA monitor.
6. RS232: Serial port for specific connections.
7. Audio In/Out: Connect audio devices.
8. Monitor Connection (HDMI): Connect an HDMI monitor.
9. USB Port: Additional USB port for devices.
10. Network Connection (LAN): Connect to your network via Ethernet.
Connect Your Wired Camera
Connect your camera directly to your recorder using the camera's Ethernet extension cable.
*May be sold separately.
Setting Up Your Recorder

Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi Router
Connect your recorder to your Wi-Fi router using the included Ethernet cable.

Step 2: Connect Peripherals
Connect the included USB mouse to the USB port on your recorder. To copy events or to perform a firmware update, connect a USB flash drive.

Step 3: Connect to TV
Connect your recorder to your TV using the included HDMI cable. The HDMI supports up to 4K resolution and VGA supports up to 1080p.

Step 4: Power On
Connect the included power cord to your recorder and a power outlet. Then flip the power switch ON and complete the Lorex Setup Wizard.
App Setup
Requirements for Remote Viewing
- Have high-speed Internet
- Have an upload speed of 6 Mbps for one 4K channel and at least 20 Mbps for the whole system
- Locate your recorder's Device ID QR code (Text: "Device ID: XXXXXXXXXXX")
