The fact that you bought a Nixon means you can probably tell time, but you may not be familiar with all the doo-dads and features of our watches. So if you're stuck, read through these instructions.

Watch Functions and Operation

Diagram Key

  • Diagram 1: Watch face with hands and crown.
  • Diagram 2: Crown in Position 1 (standard).
  • Diagram 3: Crown pulled to Position 2 for time setting.
  • Diagram 4: Crown pulled to Position 2 for date setting.
  • Diagram 5: Chronograph function overview.
  • Diagram 6: Resetting chronograph hands.

1. Operating the Light

[Light Function] - Refer to Diagram 1 for visual cues.

2. Setting the Time

1. Pull the crown out to Position 2.

2. Turn the crown to set the hands to the correct time.

3. Push the crown back in to Position 1.

3. Setting the Date Window

1. Pull the crown out to Position 2.

2. Turn the crown to set the date.

3. Push the crown back in to Position 1.

4. Setting the Date/Day

1. Pull the crown out to Position 2.

2. Turn the crown to set the date and day of the week.

3. Push the crown back in to Position 1.

5. Chronograph Operation

Press the top pusher to start and stop the chronograph.

Press the bottom pusher to reset the chronograph.

6. Resetting Chronograph Hands

If the chronograph hands do not return to zero after being reset:

  1. Pull the crown out to Position 2.
  2. Use the top and bottom pushers to adjust the chronograph hands to the zero position.
  3. Push the crown back in to Position 1.

CAUTION: Keep batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, a battery can cause severe or fatal injuries in 2 hours or less. Seek medical advice immediately.

Note on "No Water" Watches: Some Nixon watches are designed for style and are not intended for surf or swim activities. This is indicated by a "No Water" icon.

Care Instructions:

  • Rinse watch with soap and water after exposure to salt water or sand.
  • Replace the battery at least every two years. Dead or low batteries can leak and damage the watch movement.
  • Water resistancy is maintained by rubber or plastic seals that can deteriorate over time. Have these seals checked by an authorized jeweler at least every two years to ensure rated water resistancy.
  • Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (over 60°C or 140°F, under -10°C or 14°F). Avoid hot tubs and saunas.
  • Avoid extreme shocks.
