Product Introduction
The ORICO TB3-S2 expands a Thunderbolt 3 interface, offering a DP 1.4 port, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Type-C port, one 10/100/1000M Gigabit LAN port, and one headphone output/microphone combo socket. It is designed to meet the daily audio and data transmission needs of PCs. The enclosure features an all-metal design with anodized finishing, a simple yet robust structure, and provides strong heat dissipation capabilities.

- High-performance expansion capabilities, including Gigabit LAN, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.0/3.1 data interfaces, DP interface, data transmission, network access, and charging protocols, all meeting high-performance standards.
- The Thunderbolt 3 interface offers a theoretical speed of 40Gbps and supports cascading up to 5 layers of Thunderbolt 3 devices. It can charge laptops up to 60W, and the Type-C interface supports a theoretical speed of 10Gbps.
- The DP interface supports 8K@60Hz resolution.

Attention
- The Thunderbolt 3 interface is backward compatible with Type-C interfaces, allowing connection to Type-C devices, but speeds will be limited without the Thunderbolt 3 protocol.
- The TB3-S2 docking station requires a host device with a Thunderbolt 3 protocol to achieve high-speed performance. Performance is limited by the host device's capabilities if it lacks Thunderbolt 3 protocol.
- The aluminum alloy casing offers good heat dissipation. High casing temperatures during use are normal, indicating effective heat dissipation.
- Due to cooling holes on both sides, avoid using the product in dusty environments. Store it properly when not in use for extended periods.
- Manually eject connected devices before unplugging the docking station or the devices themselves to prevent potential data damage.
- On Windows systems, the connecting device must be manually selected for the first connection to function correctly. This involves right-clicking the Thunderbolt icon in the system tray, selecting "Approve connected devices," choosing the ORICO TB3-S2 from the list, and selecting "Always Connect" before clicking "OK."
Installation Guide
Supports NVMe and SATA protocol M.2 SSDs. The installation process is as follows (SSD must be purchased separately):
- Unscrew the enclosure using a screwdriver.
- Open the lid.
- Insert the M.2 SSD into the M.2 interface. The left slot supports SATA protocol SSDs, and the right slot supports NVMe protocol SSDs.
- Stick the silicone thermal pad onto the SSD.
- Put back the lid and secure it with screws to complete the installation.
Notice
- Do not hit, throw, puncture, drop, squeeze, or bend the product.
- Do not use or store the product in humid environments or expose it to liquids.
- Do not use the product in hot, high-dust environments and keep it away from fire sources.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight.
- Do not place the product in corrosive environments. Do not use chemical solutions for cleaning.
- Do not place the product or accessories near strong electromagnetic fields or magnetic equipment.
- Keep the product and accessories away from children. Do not allow children to use the product unsupervised.
- If a power adapter is needed, use the one specified by ORICO.
- Do not disassemble or repair the product or accessories without ORICO's authorization.
