The LCD display shows:

The display features a digital readout for air velocity (e.g., 8.8.8.8) and temperature.

C. Operation

  1. Prepare before measurement: Open the battery door, insert one 9V battery, and close the door. Connect the vane's cable to the main unit.
  2. Turn on: Press the power button. The LCD will display a full screen for one second, then show the current air velocity and temperature. The backlight will activate simultaneously.
  3. Set up unit of air velocity: Press the UNIT button. The "m/s" indication will blink. Press the A button to cycle through units (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph). Press UNIT again to confirm the selection.
  4. Set up unit of temperature: Press the °C/°F button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  5. Data hold: Press the HOLD button to lock the current air velocity. Press it again to release the hold.
  6. Set up backlight: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the backlight. Press and hold again for 2 seconds to turn it off.
  7. Max/Min/Avg/Current air velocity measure: When the unit is powered on and the vane spins, the LCD displays the current air velocity. Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through MAX, MIN, AVG, and back to current readings.
  8. Turn off: Press the power button to turn off the unit. The unit will automatically shut off after one minute of inactivity.
