ByACRE Carbon Ultralight Rollator
Congratulations on your new Carbon Ultralight rollator. It is the world's lightest rollator. To utilize all its possibilities, it is important to carefully study this user manual.
Unfolding
To unfold the rollator, simply pull the handles outwards.
Push downwards on the outer rails of the seat in one swift motion, until you hear a significant click from the locking mechanism.
If you are in doubt whether the folding mechanism is correctly locked (e.g., in a noisy environment), please check that the locking hook under the seat is properly locked into place.
Folding
Lift the seat by the cut-out in the centre to release the locking mechanism.
To ensure that the rollator is completely folded, push the handles toward each other.
Height Adjustment of the Handles
For ergonomic and safety reasons, it is important that the height of the handles is adjusted correctly. The correct adjustment is individual.
A rule of thumb is that the handles should be level with your wrist when standing in an upright position.
If you are in doubt, consult your physical therapist, occupational therapist, or another specialist.
- Press the height adjustment button on the frame with one hand while pulling the handle with the other.
- Adjust the handle to the desired height and release the height adjustment button.
- Check that the handle is locked securely by moving it up and down and ensuring the height adjustment button is in the locked position.
Brakes
Carbon Ultralight is equipped with two independent brakes acting on the rear wheels.
- Pull the brake levers upwards to activate the brake. The lever moves back to the neutral position when released.
- The parking brake is activated by pressing the brake lever down until you hear a click sound. Release the parking brake by pulling the brake lever back to the neutral position.
Always engage both parking brakes when you sit on the seat.
Under normal circumstances, both brakes should be activated simultaneously.
Be aware that when only one brake is activated, Carbon Ultralight will turn to the same side as the engaged brake.
Do not store with the parking brake activated, as prolonged activation can leave marks on the wheel and decrease braking performance.
Adjustment of the Brakes
The brake should be adjusted if the brake force applied to the wheel is insufficient (this can occur if the tires are worn) or the parking brake is difficult to activate (most often seen after replacing a worn tire). Always set the handle to the desired height before adjusting the brake, as the position may cause slight variations.
- Adjust the brake with a 2 mm Allen wrench. Insert the Allen wrench into the adjustment screw through the hole in the front of the brake unit.
- The brake is tightened by turning the adjustment screw clockwise (viewed from the front) and loosened by turning it counter-clockwise (viewed from the front).
Kerb Lifter
Even though Carbon Ultralight is the world's lightest walker and easier to lift, it is equipped with a kerb lifter to help navigate smaller obstacles like kerbs and low steps. This is particularly helpful when transporting heavy objects in a front-mounted basket or bag.
- Carefully press on the kerb lifter with a foot.
- Pull slightly by the handles to lift the front wheels off the ground.
Be aware that the stability of Carbon Ultralight changes when it is reclined. Be cautious and try to bypass rather than climb high obstacles.

Safety Precautions Before Use
Attention: When unfolding the rollator, please check that it is securely locked in place with an audible click.
Before each use, check that the brakes are working properly.
The rollator shall not be used by people weighing over 130 kg / 286 lbs. It is not suitable for transporting heavy loads or people. The rollator is not a toy.
Check that the height adjustment of the handles is correctly engaged and the handle bars are not set higher than the marked maximum setting.
Do not change or modify the rollator. Such actions could negatively impact safety and void the manufacturer's liability.
Safety Instructions for Use
Attention: Always activate both parking brakes before sitting down and while seated. Do not use the rollator to drive a person around, and do not move the rollator while seated. The rollator is not designed to carry a person in motion.
For your own safety, do not stand on the Carbon Ultralight, nor lean backwards, sideways, or forward while seated. Do not tilt the rollator more than 5 degrees to the side, as this could cause a risk of falling!
Do not attach bags or other items to the handles, as this can cause the rollator to fall. Always use the brakes when stopping or parking. The brake can be pulled up slightly to decrease speed while walking.
For good support and safe walking, the rollator must be held close to the body. Walking upright and looking ahead improves balance. Take particular care when going down curbs.
Do not push the rollator far in front of you, as this creates a risk of falling. Note that the rolling speed can be faster than your walking speed. Do not use the rollator on stairs.
Always make sure that your clothes are not trapped or stuck in the handles or other parts of the rollator.
While driving on public transport, sitting on the rollator is not safe.
