PRODUCT SETUP
Switch Set-up
Follow these steps to set up your switch:
- Connecting the power adapter: Plug the power adapter into a wall socket and then connect the other end to the power port on the switch. The power LED will illuminate, indicating the device is powered on.
- Connecting your Network Devices: Use a LAN cable to connect your network device (e.g., computer, laptop) to one of the available ports on the switch.
- Verify the Switch is Powered On: The Power LED indicator light should be green when the switch is receiving power. If it is off, check the power connection.
- Verify Network Devices are Connected: The Link/Act LED indicator light for each connected port should be green when a device is connected. The green indicator will blink when data is being transmitted or received.

What to do if the Power LED is not lit up?
Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the wall socket and the back of the switch.

What to do if a connected device is not detected?
First, check if the Port LED for the connected port is illuminated. If it is not, try using a different LAN cable to connect the device.

SAFETY AND OPERATING CONDITIONS
Please read this section carefully before installing and connecting the device. Ensure the device, power adapter, and cables are free from mechanical damage. The device should only be used for its intended purpose, in accordance with the Quick Installation Guide.
The device is intended for use in a dry, clean, dust-free, and well-ventilated indoor environment, away from strong heat sources. Do not use it outdoors or in areas with high humidity. Do not place foreign objects on the device. The device's ventilation openings must remain unobstructed. The ambient temperature around the device and inside its casing should be between 0 and +40°C.
Use only the power adapter supplied with the device. Do not plug in the power adapter if its casing or cable is damaged. Connect the power adapter only to functional sockets with the parameters indicated on the power adapter. An easily accessible socket must be located near the equipment for connection.
Do not open the device casing! Before cleaning the device of dirt and dust, disconnect the power supply. Remove dust using a damp cloth. Do not use liquid/aerosol cleaners or magnetic/static devices for cleaning. Avoid getting moisture into the device and power adapter.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
The service life of the device is 2 years. The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase from an official dealer in Russia and CIS countries. Regardless of the sales date, the warranty period cannot exceed 2 years from the product manufacturing date, which is determined by the 6th (year) and 7th (month) digits of the serial number indicated on the technical data label.
Year determination: C - 2012, D - 2013, E - 2014, F - 2015, G - 2016, H - 2017, I - 2018, J - 2019, 0 - 2020, 1 - 2021, 2 - 2022.
Month determination: 1 - January, 2 - February, ..., 9 - September, A - October, B - November, C - December.
If a device malfunction is detected, contact a service center or the D-Link technical support group.
