Hotkey Control The operation of KVM switch is mainly controlled by hotkey sequence. A hotkey command is a short keyboard sequence for selecting among PCs, activating PC scan, etc. The KVM Switch interprets keystrokes for hotkeys all the time. A hotkey sequence starts with HK_LCode followed by one or two more keystrokes. A built-in buzzer will generate one high-pitch beep for correct hotkey command or one low-pitch beep for error, so that a wrong key sequence will not be forwarded to the selected PC. As shown below, use the keys on keyboard to input hotkey sequence, especially the 1~0 number keys and Left-side Ctrl key. Note that the keys on the Left-side and Right-side are different commands for the hotkey. A hotkey command is created by clicking the following keystrokes combination: Left-side Ctrl key (Default): (Click) (Click) Click this key, then click this key, then or (Click) click other keystroke(s), or (Hold) click-&-hold other keystroke(s). or Scroll Lock key: (Click) (Click) Click this key, then click this key, then or (Click) click other keystroke(s), or (Hold) click-&-hold other keystroke(s). www.siig.com 7 CE-KV0G11-S1 3. Display Screen Layout Control Use hotkey command to control screen layout modes. · Switching between modes or resolutions might take 10~12 seconds depending on display's response time. · Switching between screen layout modes might require image fine-tuning.
