Restrictions in the 5 GHz band

According to Article 10 (10) of the European Directive 2014/53/EU, the packaging indicates that this radio equipment will be subject to certain restrictions when placed on the market in countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. WLAN operation for this device is restricted to indoor use only when operating in the 5150 MHz to 5350 MHz frequency range.

RF Exposure Information

The maximum permissible exposure level (MPE) is calculated based on a distance of 20 centimeters (d=20 cm) between the device and the human body. Therefore, during installation and operation, ensure that you maintain a distance of at least 20cm.

3 Indicator Lights

Figure 3-1 shows the indicator lights on the front panel of the ZXHN F8648P equipment.

Solid RedEmergency Stop Status (O7).
Blinking RedThe PON interface is not connected to the optical fiber.
InternetOffThe ZXHN F8648P is powered off, or there is no WAN connection with correctly configured Internet characteristics, or the connection has been disconnected at the user's request or by the remote part (PPP disconnected, DHCP released, or no available static IP address on the WAN connection Internet).
Solid GreenAn IP is connected (the ONT has a WAN Internet IP address via IPCP, DHCP, or statically configured).
VOIPOffThe ZXHN F8648P is powered off, or the telephony connection is not available.

4 Ports & Switches

  • Using a thin needle, press and hold the Reset button for one second to restart the device. User settings will not be lost.
  • Using a thin needle, press and hold the Reset button for more than five seconds to restore factory default settings.
WPSWPS button. After pressing the WPS button for more than 0.4 seconds, the WPS function will be enabled.
Wi-FiWi-Fi button. After a momentary press of the Wi-Fi button for no more than 0.4 seconds, the WLAN function will be enabled or disabled.

7 Equipment Connection

Figure 7-1 shows the devices that can be connected to the ZXHN F8648P equipment.

After connecting the devices to the ZXHN F8648P device, press the power button. When the corresponding indicator lights on the front panel are on, you can enjoy the various services provided by the service provider.

Factors affecting wireless network coverage include the product's placement, the distance between the product and a wireless terminal, the number of obstacles, the material and density of obstacles, and potential interference sources. It is recommended to place the product according to the following guidelines to maximize wireless signal strength.

8 Troubleshooting

Power Indicator Light

The Power indicator light on the front panel is off after pressing the power button.

The power supply is not correctly connected to the device. Ensure you are using the power adapter provided with the device.

LOS Indicator Light

The LOS indicator light is blinking red or solid red after the device is powered on.

PON Indicator Light

The PON indicator light on the front panel is off or blinking green after the device is powered on.

Phone Indicator Light

The Phone indicator light on the front panel is off after the device is powered on.

The phone function is not working correctly. Please contact your service provider for assistance.
