1 Product Safety Instructions
Note Before using the device, please read the following safety information. ZTE is not responsible for the consequences resulting from the violation of safety instructions.
Safety Instructions for Use
- Read all safety instructions carefully before using the device.
- Use only the accessories included in the package, such as the power adapter.
- Do not extend the power cord, otherwise the device will not work.
- The power supply voltage must meet the device's input voltage requirements (voltage fluctuation should be less than 10%).
- Keep the socket clean and dry to avoid any risk of electric shock.
- Disconnect all cables during a storm to avoid damaging the device.
- Turn off and unplug the socket when the device is not in use for a long time.
- Do not attempt to open the device covers, otherwise there is a risk of damage or electric shock.
- Do not look directly into the optical port to avoid eye injury.
- Turn off and stop using the device under conditions such as abnormal sound, smoke, or strange odor. Contact the service provider for maintenance if the device is faulty.
Environmental Requirements
- Leave sufficient space for proper ventilation of the device to avoid any damage due to overheating. Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight.
- Do not place objects on the device to avoid any damage.
- Do not place the device near a heat source. Do not place the device in humid or wet places. Do not spill liquids on the product.
- Keep the device away from household appliances with strong magnetic or electric fields, such as microwave ovens and refrigerators.
Cleaning Requirements
- Before cleaning, turn off the device and disconnect all cables connected to the device, such as the power cord, optical fiber, and Ethernet cable.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays to clean the device. Use a soft, dry cleaning cloth.
Environmental Protection
- The equipment and the power adapter must be transported to designated collection points after their end of use.
- Comply with the recycling regulations for such equipment.
Restrictions in the 5 GHz band
According to Article 10 (10) of the European Directive 2014/53/EU, the packaging indicates that this radio equipment will be subject to certain restrictions when placed on the market in countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. WLAN operation for this device is restricted to indoor use only when operating in the 5150 MHz to 5350 MHz frequency range.
RF Exposure Information
The maximum permissible exposure level (MPE) is calculated based on a distance of 20 centimeters (d=20 cm) between the device and the human body. Therefore, during installation and operation, ensure that you maintain a distance of at least 20cm.

3 Indicator Lights
Figure 3-1 shows the indicator lights on the front panel of the ZXHN F8648P equipment.

5 Product Specifications

- PON Interface: XGS-PON standard, SC/APC, compliant with ITU G.984.1-G.984.5 standards.
- Ethernet Interface: One RJ-45 auto-sensing port 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G and four RJ-45 auto-sensing ports 10Mbps/100Mbps/1000Mbps compliant with IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u standards.

Technical Specifications

7 Equipment Connection
Figure 7-1 shows the devices that can be connected to the ZXHN F8648P equipment.

After connecting the devices to the ZXHN F8648P device, press the power button. When the corresponding indicator lights on the front panel are on, you can enjoy the various services provided by the service provider.
Factors affecting wireless network coverage include the product's placement, the distance between the product and a wireless terminal, the number of obstacles, the material and density of obstacles, and potential interference sources. It is recommended to place the product according to the following guidelines to maximize wireless signal strength.
- The equipment should be placed away from objects that affect wireless signal propagation, such as highly reflective objects, e.g., metal objects or mirrors.
- The equipment should be placed away from electrical appliances with strong magnetic or electric fields, such as microwave ovens, refrigerators, wireless routers, cordless phones, or Bluetooth products.
- The equipment should be installed on the same floor as the operating area.
- Do not place other objects on top of the equipment. Try to minimize the number of obstacles between the product and a wireless terminal.
- Place the equipment vertically, ideally in the center of the operating area, and do not place it in a corner.
- Do not place the equipment at a high position. The recommended height is 1.2 to 1.5 meters.
8 Troubleshooting
Power Indicator Light
The Power indicator light on the front panel is off after pressing the power button.
The power supply is not correctly connected to the device. Ensure you are using the power adapter provided with the device.
LOS Indicator Light
The LOS indicator light is blinking red or solid red after the device is powered on.
- The optical fiber is not correctly connected to the ONT's PON interface.
- The optical fiber is broken or damaged.
- If the indicator light is solid red or continuously blinking, please contact your service provider.
PON Indicator Light
The PON indicator light on the front panel is off or blinking green after the device is powered on.
- There is no XGS-PON connection.
- The ONT is not connected to the network.
- Please contact your service provider for assistance.
Phone Indicator Light
The Phone indicator light on the front panel is off after the device is powered on.
The phone function is not working correctly. Please contact your service provider for assistance.
