Regulatory Requirements and Warnings

The following requirements and warnings must be adhered to for the telecommunication radio frequency equipment:

  1. The model number and approval label must be clearly marked on the equipment body. The packaging box must also display the competent authority's emblem. For final products incorporating this module, the non-plug-and-play radio frequency module (component) must be clearly marked on the equipment body with its approval label and the final product model number. The packaging box must also display the competent authority's emblem.
  2. Telecommunication radio frequency equipment must be marked with Chinese warnings in the designated location according to the regulations or relevant technical specifications.
  3. For equipment that is authorized to use the approval label of a radio frequency module (component), sufficient and accurate information must be provided in the final product's user manual and packaging box.
  4. When selling telecommunication radio frequency equipment with an approval certificate via the internet, the approval label or conformity declaration label information must be provided on the webpage.
  5. The user manual must include the following information:
    • For low-power radio frequency equipment that has obtained an approval certificate, without authorization, companies, businesses, or users are not permitted to change the frequency, increase the power, or alter the original design's characteristics and functions. The use of low-power radio frequency equipment must not affect aviation safety and interfere with lawful communications. If interference is found, it must be stopped immediately, and operations can only resume after improvements have been made to eliminate the interference. Lawful communications refer to radio communications operated in accordance with the Telecommunications Management Act. Low-power radio frequency equipment must tolerate interference from lawful communications or from industrial, scientific, and medical equipment.

Special Provisions

  1. If any changes are made to the original applicant, brand, model, hardware, radio frequency functions, appearance, color, material, power supply method, accessories, or antenna of telecommunication radio frequency equipment or non-plug-and-play radio frequency modules (components) that have obtained an approval certificate, a new approval must be applied for, unless otherwise stipulated in these regulations.
  2. If the telecommunication radio frequency equipment or non-plug-and-play radio frequency modules (components) that have obtained an approval certificate are subject to revisions in the approval-related sections of the technical specifications for telecommunication radio frequency equipment, a new approval must be applied for within the implementation period specified in the technical specifications. Failure to re-apply for approval may result in the cancellation of the approval certificate by the original verification body.
  3. Holders of type approval certificates, conformity declaration certificates, or simplified conformity declaration certificates must properly store the telecommunication radio frequency equipment or non-plug-and-play radio frequency modules (components), external power supplies, accessories, external antennas, test jigs consistent with the inspection or test reports, and test software versions identical to those used for the inspection or test reports, for five years after the equipment ceases production or importation.
  4. Holders of type approval certificates or conformity declaration certificates may authorize others to use the approval label or conformity declaration label on telecommunication radio frequency equipment or non-plug-and-play radio frequency modules (components) of the same brand and model. The authorization for others to use the approval label or conformity declaration label must be registered by the certificate holder on the website designated by the competent authority or entrusted to the original verification body for registration.
  5. After assembling a complete final product using a complete radio frequency module (component) with an approval certificate, the holder of the approval certificate for the complete radio frequency module (component) must, before selling the complete final product, submit electronic files indicating the brand, model, and appearance photos of the complete final product. Additionally, at least two color photos (4x6 inches or larger, with a ruler) of the internal structure and circuit board of the complete final product assembled with the complete radio frequency module (component) must be provided. Key components on the circuit board must be clearly identifiable. This information should be registered with the original verification body.
