Interim Tidal Support of Silent Angel M1/M1T

Version 1.0

Before you begin:

  1. Make sure your M1 or M1T is connected to power and internet.
  2. Ensure a desktop, and an Android or iOS based device (Cellphone or Pad) is connected to the same local area network (i.e., the same router of your home or office) as your M1 or M1T.
  3. Make sure your M1 or M1T is powered on.

Step-by-Step Guide

There are three options for your convenience: using an Android-based phone, an iPhone, or Roon Server.

Option 1: Install BubbleUPnP on your Android-based cellphone

1.1. Download and install the BubbleUPnP App from Google Play or your favorite application store. The app may look like this:

1.2. In the VitOS Orbiter App, make sure the DLNA Renderer service is enabled:

1.3. Open the BubbleUPnP App, click on the “Now Playing” option on the bottom, and select your Silent Angel device.

1.4. Click on the “Library” option at the bottom, then select “Local and Cloud” from the drop-down menu at the top.

1.5. On the “Local and Cloud” window, select “TIDAL”, then enter your Tidal account information to log in.

1.6. After successful login, on the “Local and Cloud” window, click on “TIDAL” to enjoy Tidal service.

Option 2: Use Mconnect on your iPhone to play Tidal music

2.1. Download and install the Mconnect Player Lite App from the App Store. The App Store may look like this:

2.2. Make sure VitOS Orbiter App has DLNA Renderer enabled.

2.3. Open the Mconnect Player Lite App, click on “Play to”, then find your M1 or M1T device.

2.4. Click on “Browser” at the bottom, find and select “TIDAL”. Then enter your Tidal account information to log in.

2.5. After successful login, you can enjoy Tidal service.

Option 3: Play music on Tidal using your desktop with Roon Server

3.1. Install Roon Server by downloading from the following link: https://roonlabs.com/downloads

3.2. Register with Roon and get a 60-day free trial coupon from Silent Angel. Enter the redemption code where appropriate.

Claiming your coupon:

  1. If the package of your device includes a free-trial coupon, you can see the redemption code after scratching off the cover-up area of the coupon.
  2. Otherwise, send an email to: support@silentangel.com, providing the device model and serial number, as well as purchase location. A code will be sent via email.

3.3. In the VitOS Orbiter mobile App, make sure the Roon Ready option is enabled.

3.4. Log on to the Roon Server installed on your desktop.

3.5. On the Roon Server, click on the menu icon on the upper-right corner, find and select “Settings”, as shown below:

3.6. In the VitOS Orbiter App, write down the IP address shown in the "About" window.

3.7. Click on the “Audio” option, find the device with the IP address noted in Step 1.4. Then click on “Enable”.

3.8. On the “Settings” window, click on “Services”, and click on the “Login” button next to “Tidal”.

3.9. This will take you to the Tidal Login Window. You can now enter your Tidal account information and log in.

3.10. After successful login to Tidal, find the “TIDAL” option on the right side of the Roon server window. You are now ready to enjoy Tidal service.
