CEILING FAN WITH LIGHTS INSTALLATION MANUAL
This document outlines the installation process for a ceiling fan with lights. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning.
SAFTY RULES
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation.
- All wiring must comply with the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire, do not use this fan with any solid-state fan speed control device.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount to an outlet box marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 45 kg (99.12 lbs.) Or Less" and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of light fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Due to the complexity of the installation of this fan, a qualified licensed electrician is strongly recommended.
- The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 45KGS.
- The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 feet (2.13 meters) clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
- Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
- To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
- Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
- After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
- Electrical diagrams are for reference only.
- The fan is suitable for indoor use only.
TOOLS REQUIRED
The following tools are required for installation:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flat blade screwdriver
- Step ladder
- Wire stripper
- Electrical tape
- External Hexagonal Wrench
- Wire cutters
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Unpack your fan and check the contents. Ensure you have all the necessary parts. Contact a licensed electrician if you are not comfortable performing electrical work. Do not use the fan with a dimmer switch. Turn off power at the breaker before proceeding.
Tools and Materials Required:
The following components are typically included:
- 1/4 x 15 screw (6)
- Balance sticker (2)
- Explosion screw (4)
- Gasket
Ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before starting installation. [Power off symbol] is indicated on the breaker panel.
INSTALL THE FAN
Tools Required: Phillips Screwdriver, Pair of Pliers, Straight slot screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench, Step Ladder and Wire Cutters.
INSTALL THE MOUNTING BRACKET
To prevent personal injury and damage, ensure that the hanging location allows the blades a clearance of 7.5 feet (2.3 meters) from the floor and 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) from any wall or obstruction.
For concrete ceilings: Mark the location for the ceiling fan. Drill two holes in the ceiling to secure the ceiling bracket with two expansion screws provided. Secure the mounting bracket to the building structure with the expansion screws and tighten them. (See Figure 1)
For wood ceilings: Mark the location for the ceiling fan. Secure the mounting bracket to the building structure with the four wood screws provided. (See Figure 2)
NOTE: The hanger, after installation, must be able to withstand a weight of 45 kgs or more.
Figure 5 illustrates mounting the bracket to a ceiling joist using lag bolts, flat washers, and spring washers.
INSTALLING RECEIVER
The receiver unit should be installed within the mounting bracket as shown in the diagram.
WIRING OF CEILING FAN
Input voltage: 110-120V.
The wiring diagram shows the connections between the receiver, the fan motor, and the supply wires. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly matched:
- Receiver to Supply Wire: Black wire (Line Wire), White wire (Natural Wire), Green wire (Ground Wire).
- Receiver to Fan: Red wire (Red Wire), Pink wire (Pink Wire), Grey wire (Grey Wire).
- LED line: Yellow wire (Yellow Wire), Grey wire (Grey Line), White wire (White Wire).
Installing fan blades
Install the accessory large iron plate onto the motor.
Before installing fan blades, remove the motor's fastener that is used to protect the motor from damage during transit. Install fan blades onto the fan's motor, aligning the holes of the blades with the motor. Screw the blades in using the provided screws.
Please confirm that all blades are correctly placed and tightly screwed.
Installing Lamp
Connect the wire from the lamp assembly to the fan motor wiring. Secure the lamp assembly to the fan motor housing as indicated.
Operating instructions
The fan operates using a remote control. The remote requires two AAA 1.5V batteries.
Remote Control Functions:
- ALL OFF: Turns all functions off.
- LIGHT ON/OFF: Controls the fan light.
- F: Wind forward (fan rotation direction forward).
- R: Wind reverse (fan rotation direction reverse).
- Natural Wind button: Activates a natural wind mode.
- FAN/OFF: Turns the fan on or off.
- Speed buttons (1-6): Adjust fan speed from 1 (low) to 6 (high).
- Timing buttons (1H, 2H, 4H): Set the fan timer for 1, 2, or 4 hours.
Remote Control Code Pairing:
If the remote control cannot operate the fan light, you can re-pair the remote. Follow these steps:
- Turn off the power switch (wall or main switch).
- Wait for 10 seconds, then turn the power back on.
- Once the light turns on, immediately press and hold the "FAN OFF" button on the remote control for 5 seconds. The fan should start to indicate successful pairing.
