Before First Use
Unpack the device and remove all packaging material and advertising stickers. The rating label must not be removed.
Operate the device once with the egg holder, but without eggs, as described in "Operation". To do this, fill the measuring cup halfway with water.
Operation
- Fill the water bowl with cold water using the measuring cup.
- The markings on the measuring cup indicate the amount of water needed to cook 1-6 eggs to 'soft', 'medium', or 'hard'. These markings apply to fridge-cold eggs of medium size (M). If eggs are too soft, add slightly more water than indicated; if too hard, add slightly less.
- Use the egg piercer (located on the bottom of the measuring cup) to pierce the blunt end of each egg.
- Place the eggs in the egg holder and close the lid.
- Plug in the power plug. Press the power button. The appliance will heat up.
- A beep and flashing indicator light signal the end of the cooking process.
- Switch off the appliance and unplug it.
- Open the lid carefully. Caution: Hot steam will escape when the lid is opened.
- Remove the egg holder with the eggs from the bowl and immediately cool them under cold running water. Note: If eggs are not removed promptly, they will continue to cook and harden.
Cleaning and Care
• Always unplug the appliance, allow it to cool down, and empty any remaining water before cleaning.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it.
• Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents to prevent scratching the polished surfaces.
• Wipe the water bowl only with a damp cloth.
• Lime scale deposits in the water bowl can be removed with a solution of water and vinegar. Briefly boil with clear water afterwards.
• Rinse the egg holder and dry it, or clean it in the dishwasher.
• If the lid is very dirty, it can be removed and cleaned with soapy water. To remove the lid, lift it slightly and pull it forward. Do not clean the lid in the dishwasher.
