2. Installation
2.1 Location
When selecting a position for your unit, ensure the floor is flat and firm, and the room is well ventilated with an average room temperature of between 16°C and 38°C. Avoid locating your unit near a heat source (e.g., cooker, boiler, or radiator) or direct sunlight, as this may increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit not to perform properly. This unit is not designed for use in a garage or outdoor installation. Do not cover the unit.
When installing, ensure 20 cm of free space is left at both sides, 15 cm at the rear, and 20 cm at the top of the unit. This allows cold air to circulate and improves cooling efficiency. The door can be opened to the right or left; ensure there is adequate space for it to fully open.
2.2 Reversing the Door Swing
Tools Required: Phillips style screwdriver / Flat blated screwdriver / Hexagonal spanner
If you wish to reverse the door swing, it is recommended to contact a qualified technician. Attempt this yourself only if you are qualified.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged and empty.
- Adjust the two levelling feet to their highest position.
- To remove the door, tilt the unit backwards and rest it on something solid to prevent slipping during the process.
- Save all removed parts for reinstallation.
- Do not lay the unit flat, as this may damage the coolant system.
- It is recommended that 2 people handle the unit during assembly.
Steps:
- Remove the plastic covering from the top door hinge.
- Unscrew the three screws from the bottom bracket. Remove the foot from the opposite side.
- Place the door to one side.
- Slide the appliance door down about 15cm and off the top hinge pin, then lift away from the appliance.
- Remove the two screws from the top bracket and replace them on the other side. You will need to first remove the plastic caps from the other side.
- Slide the appliance door back onto the top hinge, ensuring it is the right way up. Screw the bottom hinge into place on the new side. Replace the other foot on the opposite side. Replace the plastic covering by clicking it back into position on the door hinge.
- Check that the door is aligned horizontally and vertically, and that the seals are closed on all sides before finally tightening the bottom hinge. Re-adjust the levelling feet.
2.3 Levelling the Unit
Adjust the two levelling feet at the front of the unit. If the unit is not level, the door and magnetic seal alignments will not function properly. [Visual: Checkmark ✔️ for level, Cross ❌ for not level]
2.4 Cleaning Before Use
Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda. Rinse with warm water using a 'wrung-out' sponge or cloth. Wash the shelves and salad bin in warm soapy water and dry completely before replacing them in the unit. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Refer to the Cleaning section for more information.
2.5 Before Using Your Unit
Before placing any food in your unit, turn it on and wait for 24 hours to ensure it is working properly and has reached the correct temperature. Do not overfill the unit.
Before Plugging in: Check that your socket is compatible with the supplied plug.
Before Turning On!: Do not turn on until two hours after moving the unit. The coolant fluid needs time to settle.
2.6 Interior Accessories
Your appliance includes various glass or plastic storage shelves, with different combinations depending on the model. Always slide one of the full-size glass storage shelves into the lowest set of guides, above the fruit and vegetable containers. To remove a shelf, pull it forward until it can be swivelled upwards or downwards. Insert shelves in reverse. You can remove shelves or drawers to maximize storage space.

4. Operation
4.1 Adjusting the Temperature
Users can adjust the refrigerator temperature as needed. It is generally recommended to set the thermostat to the third gear.
A higher number indicates more robust refrigeration and a lower internal temperature, and vice versa.
[Diagram Description: A circular thermostat dial with markings for OFF, MIN, MED, and MAX. An arrow indicates the direction of adjustment.]
If the compressor runs for a long time or large ice cubes are found, adjust the thermostat knob towards smaller numbers.
The knob indicates the gear setting, not a specific temperature. The "OFF" position means the thermostat stops working.
Do not use the "OFF" position on the lamp temperature controller if the lamp does not go out.
4.2 Noise Inside the Unit!
Some unusual noises are normal and caused by the circulation of the refrigerant liquid. This is more pronounced with newer CFC-free gases and does not affect performance. This noise is from the compressor motor pumping refrigerant.
4.3 Tips for Keeping Food in the Unit
- Store cooked meats/fishes above raw meats/fishes to prevent bacterial transfer. Place raw meats/fishes in a container on the lowest shelf, ensuring it can collect juices and is covered.
- Leave space around food for air circulation to keep all parts of the unit cool.
- Pack or cover food separately to prevent flavour transfer and drying out. Fruit and vegetables do not need wrapping.
- Let pre-cooked food cool to room temperature before storing to maintain the internal temperature.
- Limit opening the door to prevent cold air escaping. Open only when necessary to add or remove food.
5. Cleaning
5.1 Defrosting
Defrost the freezing compartment when the frost layer on the evaporator surface reaches 3 or 4 mm. Remove all food and set the thermostat to "OFF". Place a drip tray under the evaporator to collect melted water. After defrosting, discard the water and dry the interior. The refrigerator can then be restarted by setting the thermostat to the desired setting.
5.2 Cleaning the Interior and the Exterior of the Unit
Remove all shelves and the salad bin (first remove the lower door shelf to access the salad bin). Wipe the interior with a weak bicarbonate soda solution, then rinse with warm water using a 'wrung-out' sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing shelves and the salad bin.
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth, then use a standard furniture polish. Ensure the door is closed to prevent polish from getting on the magnetic door seal or inside the unit.
The condenser grille at the back of the unit and adjacent components can be vacuumed with a soft brush attachment.
5.3 Cleaning Tips
Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit due to changes in room temperature. Wipe away any moisture residue. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Changing the Internal Light
Illuminating lamp parameter: MAX15W
Lighting lamps replacement:
First, unplug the refrigerator-freezer. As shown in the diagram, remove the lighting lampshade, then replace the bulb. [Diagram Description: An illustration showing how to remove the lamp cover to access and replace the light bulb.]
6.2 Care When Handling / Moving Your Unit
Hold the unit around its sides or base when moving it. Never lift by the edges of the top surface.
6.3 Servicing
The unit should be serviced by an authorized engineer using only genuine spare parts. Do not attempt repairs yourself, as this can cause injury or serious malfunction. Contact a qualified technician.
6.4 Switching Off for Long Periods of Time
If the unit will not be used for a long period, disconnect it from the mains supply, empty all food, clean the appliance, and leave the door ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.

7.1 Warm tips:
- The refrigerator enclosure may emit heat during operation, especially in summer, due to condenser radiation. This is normal.
- Condensation may appear on the exterior surface and door seals when ambient humidity is large. This is normal and can be wiped away with a dry towel.
- A "Buzz" sound will be generated by the running compressor, especially when starting up or shutting down.
8. Tips for Energy Saving
- Try not to open the door too often, especially in hot weather. Close it as soon as possible after opening.
- Periodically check if the appliance is sufficiently ventilated (adequate air circulation behind the appliance).
- In normal temperature conditions, set the thermostat to the middle setting.
- Before loading the appliance with fresh food, ensure it is cooled to ambient temperature.
- Ice and frost layers increase energy consumption. Clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5 mm thick.
- If it has an external condenser, keep the rear wall clean and free of dust or impurities.
- Always consider instructions in the "Positioning and Energy Saving Tips" sections to avoid substantially higher energy consumption.
The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing them in the appliance. Overloading forces the compressor to run longer and may cause foods that freeze too slowly to lose quality or spoil.
Wrap foods properly and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance to reduce frost build-up.
Do not line the appliance storage bin with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling, as liners interfere with cold air circulation and reduce efficiency.
Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove only necessary items at one time and close the door promptly.
9. Disposal
Old units have residual value. Environmentally friendly disposal ensures valuable raw materials are recovered. The refrigerant and insulation materials require special disposal procedures. Ensure no pipes on the back of the unit are damaged before disposal. Obtain information on disposal options from your local council office.
When disposing of an old unit, break off any old locks or latches and remove the door as a safeguard.
