Applying Effects to Audio
Effects can be applied to input and output audio to adjust tone quality.
Effects for Input Audio
Effects like EQ, Delay, Compressor, Gate, and HPF can be applied to AUDIO IN, MIC, and HDMI IN sources.
- EQ (Equalizer): Adjusts tone quality across high, middle, and low frequency bands.
- Delay: Outputs audio with a time delay to align audio with video.
- Compressor: Compresses audio exceeding a specified threshold.
- Gate: Mutes audio below a specified level.
- HPF (High-pass Filter): Cuts off low-band audio below 75 Hz.
To apply effects, navigate the AUDIO menu, select the desired effect, and use the A/B fader to adjust settings.
Effects for Output Audio
Effects can be applied to the master output audio.
- EQ: Adjusts tone quality for the main output.
- Mastering: Adjusts acoustic characteristics, including noise suppression and enhancement.
- Reverb: Adds reverberation to the audio, with adjustable level, time, and type (ROOM, HALL).
To apply reverb, select "REV SEND" for the input audio, adjust the send level, then adjust "REVERB LEVEL" for the return level.
Interlinking Audio Output to Video Switching (Audio Follow)
The Audio Follow feature associates audio with video switching. When the video switches, only the linked HDMI audio is output, muting others. This can also be used with AUDIO IN or MIC.
- Adjust volume levels as needed.
- In the AUDIO menu, select "AUDIO FOLLOW".
- Select the input audio (AUDIO IN or MIC) to use with Audio Follow.
- Use the A/B fader to specify the video input channel (1-4) to interlink with the audio. Set to OFF to disable channel linking.
- Press the
[AUDIO]
button to quit.
When Audio Follow is active, the "A.F" symbol indicates the audio source.
