TCL P733W 3.1 Channel Soundbar User Manual

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for setting up, connecting, and operating your TCL P733W Soundbar system.

1. Before You Begin

Please read all safety instructions carefully. This soundbar is intended for indoor use only. In case of contact with water, unplug immediately and dry with a cloth. Unplug the unit if unused for extended periods or during lightning storms. Ensure the soundbar is placed on a stable surface or wall-mounted securely. Use only AAA 1.5V non-rechargeable batteries for the remote control. If any cables are damaged, unplug and replace them. Avoid sharply bending HDMI and optical cables. Adjust volume to protect your hearing; predefined and customizable sound settings are available.

3. Connect Your Soundbar System

After positioning the soundbar, connect it to your TV or other devices. Ensure your TV's audio is muted.

Connect with the HDMI cable

Note: Ensure your TV or device supports the HDMI ARC feature.

Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC input on the soundbar and the other end to the HDMI ARC output on your TV or device.

For TCL TVs:

  1. Connect the HDMI cable from the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) interface to the TV's HDMI (ARC/eARC) interface.
  2. Enable the CEC function in your TCL TV's settings. Refer to your TV's user manual for instructions.

For other TV brands:

  1. Connect the HDMI cable from the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) interface to the TV's HDMI (ARC/eARC) interface.
  2. Enable the CEC function in your TV's settings.

Note: CEC (Consumer Electronic Control) function naming may vary by manufacturer (e.g., Anynet+, SimpLink, BRAVIA Link, EasyLink, VIERA Link). Consult your TV's user manual.

Connect with the optical cable

Remove protective caps from the optical cable. Connect one end to the soundbar's optical input and the other to your TV or device's optical output.

Note: If no sound is output, try activating PCM signal output on your TV or device. PCM converts analog audio to digital signals.

Direction for setting up your Soundbar using an optical cable

Warning: Do not bend or kink the optical cable (SPDIF) as it is fragile.

To optimize audio experience with the optical cable:

  1. Press the Home button on your TCL TV Remote.
  2. Navigate to Audio option under Settings.
  3. Uncheck the “TV speaker enabled” option.
  4. Under S/PDIF and ARC, select PCM-Stereo.

Notes: Menu options may differ between devices. This applies to Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, etc.

Connect your Soundbar to power supply

Ensure all other connections are complete before connecting to power. Verify the power supply voltage complies with your country's safety standards. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the soundbar's AC input connector and the other end to a wall socket.

Connect the Soundbar with your Bluetooth device

Notes: Ensure your wireless device supports Bluetooth. The operational range is approximately 10 meters.

  1. Press the power button [⏻].
  2. Press the Bluetooth button [Bluetooth].
  3. Press and hold the Bluetooth button [Bluetooth] on the remote or soundbar. Blue lights will cycle. The soundbar is ready to pair.
  4. Power on your Bluetooth device and activate its Bluetooth function.

  6. To pair another device, repeat step 3.

Tip: If “TCL P733W” is not found, press and hold the Bluetooth button [Bluetooth] on the remote. The blue light will flash, indicating pairing mode.

Connect your wireless Subwoofer to the Soundbar

The subwoofer pairs automatically with the soundbar upon first use. Ensure both are connected to power and turned on.

Manual Pairing Steps:

  1. Press and hold the [⏻] button on the Subwoofer for 2 seconds until an amber light flashes.
  2. Press and hold the [Bluetooth] button on the Soundbar for 5 seconds until a green LED indicator flashes. The subwoofer LED will turn solid, indicating a successful connection.

If you have multiple devices, connect them sequentially.

4. Use Your Soundbar System

Use your Soundbar with the top panel or Remote Control

Ensure the soundbar is properly connected to power and sources. Press the power button [⏻] on the top panel or remote to switch sources. The LED display shows menu options and confirms selections.

Listen to music from your Bluetooth device

Note: Ensure your device supports A2DP and/or AVRCP.

  1. Pair your Bluetooth device with the soundbar.
  2. Start listening to music. If your device supports A2DP only, you can listen but not control playback. If it supports AVRCP, you can control playback (play/pause with center button, skip tracks with left/right buttons).

Note: The operational range is approximately 10 meters.

Use the USB cable or device for music playback

Use the play/pause button [▶||] on the remote to control music. Use left/right buttons to skip tracks and up/down buttons to adjust volume.
