IMPORTANT:Yourkeypadmayneedtobehardwiredduetothefactthatitmustaccept interferenceaccordingtoFCCregulationslistedbelow.Forexample,applications thatarerelativityclosetocelltowersorairportsmayreceiveintermittentinterferenceand requirehard-wiring. TheGTODigitalKeypadisamultipurposekeypadthatcanworkwithotherapplicationsin additiontoGTOgateopenersandlocks.Asawiredkeypaditcanoperategaragedooropeners andgateopeners,thatrequire24voltsorlessandacceptnormallyopencontacts. Asawirelesskeypaditcanbeusedwithanygateorgaragedooropenerthatreceivesa318 MHzRFsignal.ThekeypadmustbeusedinconjunctionwiththeGTOgaragedoorreceiverkit (part#RB709)onanyothergaragedoor. SAFETYNOTE:Neverinstallthekeypadwhereapersoncanreachthroughthegatetoactivate it,orwhereapersoncantouchthegatewhileactivatingthekeypad.Therecommendedminimumdistancebetweenthegateandkeypadis10ft. FeaturesoftheKeypad FCCWARNING:Changesormodificationstothisunitnotexpresslyapprovedbythepartyresponsibleforcompliancecouldvoid theuser'sauthoritytooperatetheequipment. NOTE:ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuanttoPart15ofthe FCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation. Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications. Afterenteringavalidcode,pressinganykeywhilethegateisopeningwillstopthegate;pressinganykeywhilethegateisstopped andthegatewillreversedirection.Thekeypadwillnotaffecttheauto-closesettingofyourgateopenersystem. Thekeypadfacewilllightupandbeeperwillbeepatthepressofanykey.Thekeypadmemorywillrecognizeyourentrycodeina stringofupto20digits;ifitfindsthecorrectsequenceitwillactivatethegateopener.Asasecurityfeature,thekeypadwillshutdown for40secondsifitdoesnotfindthecorrectcodesequencewithina20digitstring.Thiswilldiscourageanunauthorizedpersonfrom tryingtouserandomnumberstoaccessyourproperty. Yourentrycodeswillremainstoredinmemoryevenwhenthebatteriesgodead.Thekeypadwillrememberyourentrycodesaslong asyoudon'tpresstheRESETbutton.
