General Features
POKIBOT is an interactive robot that can dance, play voice recordings & sound effects. POKIBOT reacts to different kinds of inputs:
- Sound Input: Reacts differently to sound patterns such as taps, knocks, and claps.
- Voice Recording: Converts your input message to a robotic voice and plays it back.
- Interactivity: Can interact with other POKIBOTs or Silverlit Robot items like Maze Breaker & MacroBot.
- Mobile App Control: Can be controlled by a mobile phone app available in iOS & Android versions.
How to Play
6.1 START TO PLAY: IDLE MODE
Turn the Power switch to ON position. POKIBOT will be ready for play and will occasionally move and talk.
6.2 ACTION MODE
POKIBOT responds to sound inputs such as finger tapping or clapping:
- Single Tap (or clapping hands): Plays back recorded messages.
- More than Two Taps (or clapping hands): Responds with movements or a dance.
6.3 TALKBACK MODE
- POKIBOT can record up to 3 messages, with each recording up to 3 seconds.
- Press the REC button once to start recording; POKIBOT’s face will flash rapidly.
- Speak a message after POKIBOT generates a BEEP sound.
- POKIBOT will generate a BEEP-BEEP sound when the message recording is finished.
- POKIBOT will playback the last message automatically to confirm successful recording.
- POKIBOT will automatically go back to idle mode once playback is complete.
- To clear recorded messages, record new messages to replace them or press & hold the button for 5 seconds until POKIBOT generates a BEEP-BEEP-BEEP sound.
6.4 COMPANION MODE
Follow these steps to pair up POKIBOTs:
- Put Pokibots together within 12 inches (approx. 30 cm) of one another.
- Switch ON one of the POKIBOTs.
- Switch ON another POKIBOT within 2 seconds. You will hear a sound effect from both POKIBOTs simultaneously, indicating successful pairing.
- Repeat step 3 for each POKIBOT you want to add for pairing.
- If either one or both POKIBOTs start moving or talking without a sequence, they have failed to pair up. Repeat from step 2.
- Once all POKIBOTs are paired, they will interact with each other and respond to sound inputs as in ACTION mode.
6.5 MOBILE APP
- Download the App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
- Direct control and group play features are available in the mobile App. Refer to the instructions in the info page for details.
POWER SAVING
- POKIBOT will generate a reminder sound if no input is received, repeating the sound every 15 seconds.
- POKIBOT will go to sleep after generating the reminder sound 3 times.
- To wake up the POKIBOT, turn the power switch to “OFF” and then “ON” again.
