Life Assistant SitnStand for Wheelchairs Product Overview
The SitnStand For Wheelchairs is a portable, inflatable rising seat system designed for wheelchairs. It is lightweight, safe, simple, and easy to operate. The system includes an electronic control unit, multiple air valves, sealed air layers, and a portable air pump. It assists users in standing up from a seated position and sitting down from a standing position with minimal or no assistance.

General Warnings and Cautions
[Warning] DO NOT USE PRIOR TO READING AND UNDERSTANDING THIS MANUAL.
[Warning] To avoid electrical shock, use only the designated charger provided with the device. Using any other charger may create an electrical or electromagnetic hazard.
[Warning] Do not move the wheelchair until the cushion is fully deflated.
[Warning] To avoid electric shock, disconnect the power supply from the mains before cleaning.
[Warning] To avoid electric shock, contact your supplier or Life Assistant Ltd. if a malfunction occurs.
[Warning] Do not inflate under a table or other item that obstructs cushion inflation.
[Note] The battery is the only user-serviceable component in the system.
[Caution] Modifications not expressly approved by Life Assistant Ltd. can affect safety and effectiveness, and will void the system's warranty.
[Caution] Do not operate with damaged cords or plugs. If damaged, contact the company.
[Caution] At the end of its useful life, the system and battery must be disposed of in accordance with local law and codes concerning electrical and electronic equipment.

Using the SitnStand for Wheelchairs
Setup Instructions
Setting up the SitnStand for Wheelchairs is performed by the user and consists of three steps:
- Charging the battery for the first time
- Placing the SitnStand for Wheelchairs on a wheelchair
- Connecting the battery
A. Charging the Battery for the First Time
Charge the battery for at least 12 hours before use:
- Remove the battery from the box.
- Plug the battery charger into an electric wall socket.
- Connect the battery charger connector to the battery charging socket.
- When the green light on the charger is on, the battery is fully charged.
- When the red light on the charger is on, the battery is not fully charged.
[Note] To prevent cables from tangling or falling, place the battery close to the charger.

B. Placing the SitnStand for Wheelchairs on a Suitable Seat
[Warning] PRIOR TO PLACING THE SITNSTAND FOR WHEELCHAIRS, MAKE SURE THAT THE WHEELCHAIR BRAKES ARE LOCKED.
- Place the SitnStand for Wheelchairs, folded, onto the wheelchair seat. [Diagram Description: Figure 3 shows the folded SitnStand unit being placed onto a wheelchair seat.]
- Insert the back part / Air Supply unit into the space between the backrest and the seat of the wheelchair. [Diagram Description: Figure 4 shows the back part of the SitnStand unit being inserted into the gap between the wheelchair seat and backrest.]
- Place the air supply unit's straps over the wheelchair's handles and tighten them securely. [Diagram Description: Figure 5 shows the straps of the air supply unit being attached to the wheelchair handles and tightened.]
- When not in use, it is recommended to attach the remote control to a velcro strip that can be affixed to the wheelchair's side handles. [Diagram Description: Figures 6 and 7 illustrate attaching the remote control to a velcro strip on the wheelchair side.]
C. Inserting the Battery in its Place
Slide the charged battery into its place within the air supply unit, as illustrated in Figure 8.
The SitnStand for Wheelchairs is now in standby mode and ready for use.

Controller Indicator Modes

- Standby Mode: The Green light flashes slowly (about one flash per second). The SitnStand for Wheelchairs is ready for use and awaiting input.
- Working Mode: The Green light flashes quickly (about 5 times per second). The SitnStand for Wheelchairs is operating. Buttons will not respond during this mode.
- Charge Battery (Low Battery): The Orange light is on, and the Standby/Working mode green light is also flashing as described in 1 or 2. This indicates the battery needs recharging.
- Charge Battery (Depleted Battery): The Orange light is on, and the Standby/Working mode Green light is off. In this case, the SitnStand for Wheelchairs cushion can only be deflated.
- Error: The Red and Green lights flash quickly. This indicates a system fault. Refer to the troubleshooting chapter.

Sitting Down
[Warning] PRIOR TO SITTING DOWN, MAKE SURE THAT THE WHEELCHAIR BRAKES ARE LOCKED.
- Inflate the cushion using the controller to 1, 2, 3, or 4 layers, whichever is most comfortable for you.
- Sit comfortably in the center of the cushion.
- When you feel steady, start deflating the cushion by pressing the Down Arrow button on the controller.
- You can now sit down comfortably.
[Note] In case of cognitive impairment, the SitnStand for Wheelchairs should only be operated by a caregiver.
The SitnStand for Wheelchairs has 3 layers; inflation can be stopped at any time when the desired elevation is reached. Do not attempt to stand up before the layer is fully inflated and there is no sound from the air pump.
The SitnStand for Wheelchairs may remain inflated until the next time it is used to sit down.
Standing Up
[Warning] PRIOR TO STANDING UP, MAKE SURE THAT THE WHEELCHAIR BRAKES ARE LOCKED.
- Place your feet on the floor, close to the chair.
- Sit upright.
- Spread your feet.
- Inflate the cushion by pressing the "Up" button.
- Now you can easily stand up.
Maintenance
To maintain the SitnStand for Wheelchairs system, please follow these guidelines:
- Keep the SitnStand for Wheelchairs away from dust or dirt.
- Use a soft dry brush to clean fabric surfaces (e.g., seat area).
- Do not iron the textile.
- Use a damp cloth to clean plastic surfaces (e.g., air supply unit).
- Do not use solvents or detergents to clean any part.
- Do not allow liquids near the system openings.
- Keep the unit dry.
[Warning] To avoid potential for electrical shock, the power supply must be disconnected from the power mains prior to cleaning.
[Warning] To avoid potential for electric shock, contact your supplier or Life Assistant Ltd. when a malfunction occurs.
[Note] The battery is the only user-serviceable component in the system.
[Note] No portion of the system should be immersed in water or other fluids.
[Note] Never spray or apply cleaner fluid directly into openings or seams. Always apply cleaner fluid to a cloth first.
Troubleshooting
Before addressing the troubleshooting table, please check and confirm the following:
- The battery is attached to the SitnStand For Wheelchairs.
- The battery is charged (low battery indicator is Off, standby/ready indicator is On).
Basic Troubleshooting
When a malfunction occurs, follow STEP 1 as an initial action. If the malfunction persists, follow STEP 2.

Limited Warranty
Life Assistant Ltd. warrants this product for a period of two years from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, including the system, assemblies, components, and labor, but excludes the battery and textile/fabric.
Life Assistant Ltd. warrants the battery and the textile/fabric for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship comprising the system, assemblies, components, and labor.
The warranty is not valid in cases of abnormal wear and tear, willful damage, neglect, misuse, or unauthorized repair or alteration of the product or its parts/accessories.
The following statements do not affect the consumer's statutory rights. This product is sold on the understanding that, in the event of any defect of manufacture or material appearing within two years of the date of receipt, the defect will be corrected free of charge, provided evidence of ownership is supplied. Such evidence may include an invoice or delivery note, and proof that the defect is not attributable to accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorized repair.
