Product Identification
All units can be identified by labels on the packaging, which include a description and product batch numbers. Quote these numbers when contacting your supplier if any items are missing.
Inspect all products carefully before installation. The guarantee does not cover installation costs incurred if faults are discovered after installation that would have been evident at the time of delivery.
Installation Guide and Assembly Manual
Read this guide before installing any units. Always unpack units carefully and check contents before discarding packaging. Lay units on a clean, flat surface to prevent scratches.
Electrical Safety
Work in bathrooms requiring electrical circuit alterations may be notifiable to your local building control department to ensure compliance with safety standards. Work within specific zones close to baths or showers is generally considered notifiable. Using a contractor registered with a Competent Person Scheme (e.g., NICEIC or ELECSA) allows for self-certification and notification to the local building control department.
Sanitaryware Installation
Basins
Seal unit edges around wash basins with a waterproof agent or sealer. Level basins on a bead of silicon onto the base unit before making water and waste connections.
W/C Units
Make cut-outs for pipes and cistern controls as directed by manufacturer instructions or templates, sealing any raw edges. The cistern requires fixing to the cross rail (fixings not supplied). These units are designed for back-to-wall pans and suspended “wall hung” pans with a suitable suspension frame.
Care and Maintenance Guidelines
Furniture
Wipe spills immediately with a clean, soft, damp cloth. Excessive spillage or condensation can damage woodwork. Clean furniture with a soft damp cloth and warm soapy water. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives, solvents, acid, or ammonia.
Mirrors
Wipe off excess moisture or condensation with a soft cloth. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives, solvents, acid, or ammonia.
Ceramic Sanitaryware
Clean with a soft damp cloth and warm soapy water. Rinse with clean water and polish with a soft cloth. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives, solvents, acid, or ammonia.
Gel-coated Cast Mineral Washbasins
Gel-cast basins are suitable for hot water up to a maximum temperature of 65°C. Clean with a soft damp cloth, water, and mild soap or detergent. Rinse and polish with a soft cloth. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives, solvents, acid, or ammonia. Do not use caustic soda or bleaches. For shine, use a fine polish twice a year and finish with car wax. Refer to care instructions included with the washbasin.
Brassware
Clean with a damp cloth, water, and soap. Rinse clean and polish with a cloth. Avoid cleaners containing abrasives, solvents, acid, or ammonia.
Installation
Note: The back panel is set in to allow for an LED lighting strip to be fitted by the end user (LED lights not supplied).
Diagram 1: Height Measurement
Draw a horizontal line 1913.5mm from the floor. This is the height for the screw fitting, resulting in a finished mirror height of 1972mm. Adjust accordingly for other installation heights.
Diagram 2: Bracket Positioning
Mark the position of the bracket centres as 'X', working from the centre line. The table below provides 'X DIMENSION (mm)' for different framed mirror sizes:
Mirror Size | X DIMENSION (mm) |
---|---|
500 FRAMED MIRROR | 370 |
600 FRAMED MIRROR | 470 |
700 FRAMED MIRROR | 570 |
Once holes are marked and drilled, use appropriate fixings based on wall type to hang the mirror. Line up the mirror to the slotted brackets and hook into place (See Diagram 3).
Diagram 3: Mirror Hanging
Shows the mirror being hooked onto the wall brackets.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wall fixings (screws/wall plugs, etc.) are not supplied as they depend on the wall type and surface. The installer must ensure suitable fittings are used for the specific model, fitting situation, and environment. All mechanical fixings must be secured to a solid wall or structure.
