In full power setting, power is divided between areas in the same group, with automatic reduction of other areas if necessary. In power limitation setting, power is divided, and other areas cannot exceed the set limit.
Example: If BOOST is selected for area 1, area 2 will be limited to level 9.
Cookware Guidance
What pots to use: Use pots and pans with ferromagnetic bottoms (cast iron, enamelled steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminium with ferromagnetic coating). Check for the [pan symbol] or use a magnet. Ensure cookware has a flat bottom for even heat distribution.
Minimum diameter: Ensure the pot covers reference points on the hob and meets minimum diameter requirements for each cooking area.
Cooking area | Ø min. (recommended) | Ø max. (recommended) |
---|---|---|
Right rear | 110 mm | 200 mm |
Right front | 110 mm | 160 mm |
Left rear | 110 mm | 190 mm |
Left front | 110 mm | 190 mm |
Bridge left side | 190 mm | 370 mm |
Empty or thin-based pots/pans: Do not use them, as the hob may not monitor temperature correctly, potentially damaging the pan or hob. If this occurs, do not touch and wait for components to cool.
Noise during cooking: A brief hum may occur, which is normal for induction hobs and does not affect function. Noise varies with cookware. Changing cookware may help if disturbance is considerable.
Normal operating noises: Induction technology generates heat via electromagnetic fields. Noises like low humming, quiet whistling, crackling, loud whistling, fan noises, and rhythmic sounds are normal and depend on cookware and usage.
Care and Cleaning
Never use abrasive sponges, wire wool, or harsh chemicals. Clean after every use to prevent burnt-on dirt. For daily cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with a suitable detergent. Remove crusted dirt (e.g., spilled milk, sugar, melted plastic) using a scraper pad suitable for vitreous ceramic while the hob is still hot. Remove limescale with a mild limescale remover (e.g., vinegar or lemon juice) once cooled, then clean with a damp cloth. Do not cut or prepare food on the surface, drop hard objects, or drag pans/plates. Do not use steam cleaning.
