JXLCAM App Setup and User Guide

This guide provides instructions for downloading and using the JXLCAM mobile application to connect and manage your Wi-Fi camera.

1. App Installation

Download and install the JXLCAM application. On iOS devices, search for "JXLCAM" directly in the Apple App Store. For convenience, you can scan the QR code below for download and installation.

Note: During installation, ensure all permissions for the JXLCAM APP are allowed; otherwise, the APP may not function correctly.

2. Device Connection (AP Mode)

Open the list of mobile phones' Wi-Fi networks. Connect to the network named "B/xCCQ...". Once connected, open the JXLCAM app and navigate to the "AP" page as shown in the figure below to watch the video.

Note: AP mode is useful when there is no Wi-Fi environment available. It is valid for up to 10 meters and allows for localized video viewing.

3. Initial Device Setup and Network Configuration

Follow these steps to set up your device:

  1. First, confirm that there is an available Wi-Fi network near the device. Turn on the device; the blue indicator light will flash quickly, indicating it is in a state to be connected. Note: Wi-Fi signals are supported only in the 2.4G band.
  2. Ensure the device has sufficient power; otherwise, network distribution may fail.
  3. When wiring, try to bring the device close to the router. If the nearby Wi-Fi signal is weak, the image may freeze if the network connection is not successful.
  4. Open the JXLCAM app and follow the subsequent steps.

4. Adding the Device via App (Step-by-Step)

Follow the on-screen prompts within the JXLCAM app:

  1. Click the '+' icon to add a device. [Red arrow points to '+']

  11. Connect to the device hotspot, typically named "B/XCCQ...". Then click 'JXLCAM' in the upper left corner to return to the app. [Red arrow points to 'JXLCAM' in the upper left]

  13. Wait for the network distribution process to complete. [Screen shows 'Wait for distribution network.']

5. Camera Interface and Features

The main camera interface provides access to various functions:

  • Device Nickname: Displays the name assigned to your camera (e.g., "Camera ACCQ808026QZCWA20").
  • Networking Status: Shows if the device is online.
  • Mode Selection: Options for 'Local mode' or 'AP' mode.
  • Add Device: Icon to add new devices.
  • Playback: Access to 'SD card playback file' and 'Manually record files'.

6. Camera Controls and Settings

The camera interface offers the following controls:

  • Photo: Take a still picture.
  • Listen: Enable audio listening.
  • Talk: Enable two-way audio communication (products with speakers can be used).
  • Recording: Start or stop video recording.
  • Landscape switching: Rotate the video feed.
  • Alarm: Activate or configure alarm functions.
  • Indicator light ON/OFF: Control the device's indicator light.
  • Infrared lamp ON/OFF: Control the night vision infrared lights.
  • Sharpness switch: Adjust image sharpness.
  • FHD Resolution: Select video resolution.
  • Mirror: Flip the image horizontally.
  • Flip: Flip the image vertically.
  • LED: Control LED indicators.
  • NightVision: Enable or disable night vision.
  • Switch up and down: Adjust settings or navigate menus.

To store video content, you need to install an SD card. This device supports loop video recording.

7. Advanced Settings and Troubleshooting

Access advanced settings via the camera interface:

  • Device Name: Modify the device name.
  • User Config: Modify user name.
  • Share: Share the QR code to allow another person to connect the device.
  • TF Card Config: Options related to the TF (SD) card, such as 'Format TF card'.
  • Restart the device: Reboot the camera.
  • Factory Reset: Restore the device to its original factory settings.

Alarm Settings: Sensitivity and alarm interval can be set for motion detection. Click '✔️' to confirm.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

  1. Network Configuration Failure: Please check if the router and Wi-Fi password are configured correctly. The device does not support Wi-Fi signals in the 5.8G band. After confirming correctness, press and hold the reset button until the device indicator flashes quickly, then restore factory settings and reconfigure the network.
  2. Device Offline: If the software homepage shows the device is offline, check if the device is normally powered on. Click the refresh icon in the upper right corner to refresh the connection status.
  3. Initial Password: The initial password for the device is 'admin'.
