Note: The Fingerprint + Card Series device supports authentication via fingerprint and card. The Card Series device supports authentication via card.

2 Installation
Installation Environment:
- Support outdoor use.
- Avoid backlight, direct sunlight, and indirect sunlight.
- For better recognition, there should be a light source in or near the installation environment.
- The minimum bearing weight of the wall or other places should be 3 times heavier than the device weight.
Wall Mounting:
- Secure the mounting plate on the wall with 4 supplied screws (SC-KA4X25-SUS).
- Route the cables through the cable hole of the mounting plate, and connect to the corresponding external devices' cables. Apply silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to keep raindrops from entering.
- Align the device with the mounting plate, and secure the device on the mounting plate with 1 supplied screw (SC-KM3X6-T10-SUS).
3.1 Wiring (Normal)

- B1: IN1 (Yellow/Blue) - Alarm Input
- GND: GND (Black)
- B2: IN2 (Yellow/Orange)
- B3: NC (Yellow/Purple)
- B4: COM (Yellow/Brown) - Alarm Output
- B5: NO (Yellow/Red)
Group B:
- B6: 485+ (Yellow) - RS-485
- C1: 485- (Blue) - RS-485
Group C:
- C2: GND (Black)
- W1: WO (Green) - Wiegand
- C5: GND (Black)
- C6: GND (Black)
Group D:
- D1: NC (White/Purple) - Door Lock Output
- D2: COM (White/Yellow) - Door Lock Output
- D3: NO (White/Red) - Door Lock Output
- D4: SEN (Yellow/Green) - Door Contact

- D6: BTN (Yellow/Gray) - Exit Button
Network Interface
Notes:
- When connecting the door contact and exit button, the device and the RS-485 card reader should use the same common ground connection.
- The Wiegand terminal here is a Wiegand output terminal. Set the device's Wiegand direction to "output".
- The suggested external power supply for the door lock is 12 V, 1 A.
- The suggested external power supply for the Wiegand card reader is 12 V, 1 A.
- Do not wire the device to the electric supply directly.
3.2 Device Wiring (With Secure Door Control Unit)
Face Recognition Terminal:
- Power Input: +12V (Red), GND (Black)
- Door Contact: SENSOR (Green/Brown), GND (Black)
- RS-485: 485+ (Yellow), 485- (Blue)
- Exit Button: BUTTON (Green/Black), GND (Black)
Secure Door Control Unit:
- Power Input: +12V (Red), GND (Black)
- Sensor Input: SENSOR (Green/Brown), GND (Black)
- RS-485: 485+ (Yellow), 485- (Blue)
- Exit Button: BUTTON (Green/Black), GND (Black)
- Electric Lock Output: NC (White/Purple), COM (White/Black), NO (White/Red)
Notes:
- The secure door control unit should connect to an external power supply separately. The suggested external power supply is 12 V, 0.5 A.
- For scenarios with high safety requirements, use the secure door control unit wiring first.
- The picture here shows parts of the wiring. For details, see the secure door control unit's user manual.
4 Quick Operation
Activate Device
Select one of the following steps to activate the device:
- Activate via Web.
- Activate via iVMS-4200 client.
Note: Characters containing "admin" and "nimda" are not supported to be set as activation password. For details, please refer to the user manual.

General Safety Precautions:
- Comply strictly with national and regional electrical safety regulations during product use.
- CAUTION: Replace only with the same type and rating of fuse to reduce the risk of fire.
- CAUTION: This equipment is for use only with Hikvision's bracket. Use with other supports may result in instability causing injury.
- Do not listen at high volume levels for long periods to prevent possible hearing damage.
- Use the provided power adapter or one from a reputable company. Ensure the power consumption meets the required value.
- Do not connect several devices to one power adapter to prevent overheating or fire hazard.
- Disconnect power before wiring, installing, or dismantling the device.
- Ensure the device is firmly fixed when installed on a wall or ceiling.
- If smoke, odors, or noise arise from the device, turn off the power immediately, unplug the power cable, and contact the service center.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the device yourself. Hikvision is not responsible for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.
- + identifies positive DC terminals, - identifies negative DC terminals.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the equipment.
- The USB port is for connecting a USB flash drive only. The serial port is for debugging only.
- Handle the fingerprint sensor metal with care to avoid burned fingers. Wait one-half hour after switching off before handling parts.
- Install the equipment according to the instructions in this manual.
- Securely attach the equipment to the floor/wall in accordance with installation instructions to prevent injury.
- Avoid dropping the device, subjecting it to physical shock, or exposing it to high electromagnetism radiation. Do not install on vibrating surfaces or places subject to shock.
- Do not place the device in extremely hot, cold, dusty, or damp locations, or expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.
- The device cover for indoor use shall be kept from rain and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the equipment to direct sunlight, low ventilation, or heat sources.
- Do not aim the device at the sun or extra bright places, as this may cause blooming or smearing and affect sensor endurance.
- Use the provided glove when opening the device cover to avoid contact with the surface coating, as acidic sweat can erode it.
- Use a soft and dry cloth to clean the device cover surfaces. Do not use alkaline detergents.
- Keep all wrappers after unpacking for future use. Return the device in its original wrapper in case of failure.
- Transportation without the original wrapper may result in damage and additional costs.
- Improper use or replacement of the battery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used batteries according to manufacturer instructions.
- Biometric recognition products are not 100% applicable to anti-spoofing environments. For higher security, use multiple authentication modes.
- Biometric recognition accuracy may be affected by image quality and environmental lighting.
