YT2000 Remote & Tracking Pan Tilt Operation Manual
Attention
The power supply for this pan tilt should be a 5V2A charging head. A computer USB port cannot be used.
Switch off the remote & tracking pan tilt after work to prevent battery exhaustion.
Overview
The YT2000 remote & tracking pan tilt offers both remote and tracking functions, utilizing step motors for enhanced accuracy. In remote mode, it provides 8 grades of speed for pan and tilt, with a wide speed regulation range from 0.05r/min to 4r/min for pan and 0.05r/min to 0.6r/min for tilt. It supports 2 preset positions that can be recalled with a single key press. The device can also automatically scan between two points (A and B) with adjustable speed. It features a shutter release port, allowing remote photography when connected to a camera via cable. In tracking mode, it supports gesture recognition and can support cameras or phones weighing up to 2 kg. A 1/4 screw hole at the bottom facilitates tripod mounting. The YT2000 is suitable for live streaming, photo shooting, and other applications.

Diagram illustrating the YT2000 Pan Tilt unit, highlighting its key components: a remote display screen, shutter release port, power switch, tracking light, DC IN port, battery compartment, and control buttons (M, A, B). It also indicates pan and tilt controls, channel selection, point A/B memory, signal status, and battery level. The diagram shows how to attach a camera or phone using the quick plate, emphasizing central placement for balance. The power supply requirement is 5V2A; a computer USB port is not suitable. Connect the type-c cable for charging; the indicator light shows red while charging and turns green when fully charged. The internal battery is a 18650 Lithium battery, and the charging power is 5W.
Remote Mode
When the power switch is turned on, the pan tilt enters remote mode, activating the LCD screen. The screen displays operational status, including: Channel Number (CH), memorized positions (A, B), tilt speed (S) and degree (V), pan speed (S) and degree (H), signal strength (signal icon), and battery level (batt icon). The remote control itself features directional buttons (UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT), function buttons (MENU, A, B, OK, PHOTO, Auto), and an LCD screen. When the remote and pan tilt are communicating, the red signal indicator turns green. If the channel numbers do not match, the red "SELECT CH" text will blink on the LCD along with the channel number. Use the UP or DOWN keys to change the remote channel until it matches the pan tilt's channel, then press OK to confirm. The remote automatically powers off after 30 seconds of inactivity; press any remote key to reactivate it.
Adjusting Settings:
- Channel, Speed, or Angle Adjustment: Press the 'M' button repeatedly to cycle through Channel No., Pan Speed, and Tilt Speed. The corresponding number will blink. Use the '+' or '-' keys to adjust the value. Press OK to confirm the change.
- Remote Channel Adjustment: Long press the MENU key on the remote. The remote channel number will blink. Use UP or DOWN keys to change the channel number. Press OK to confirm.
- Remote Speed Adjustment: Quick press the MENU key. The pan speed number will blink. Press MENU again to switch to tilt speed. Use UP or DOWN keys to change the speed. Press OK to confirm.
- Setting A/B Positions: Press "MENU" + "A" to set position A. Press "MENU" + "B" to set position B.
Set A,B Position
The pan tilt can memorize up to two positions (A and B). To set position A, first move the pan tilt to the desired location using the remote. Then, long press the 'A' key until the 'A' display on the LCD turns green, indicating the position is memorized. Repeat this process for position B. To recall position A, quickly press the 'A' key. Similarly, quickly press the 'B' key to recall position B. These functions can also be performed using the remote control.
Return to AB Position
To automatically return the pan tilt to the memorized position A, press the 'Auto' and 'A' keys simultaneously. The 'A' icon on the LCD will blink until the correct position is reached. Similarly, press 'Auto' and 'B' keys simultaneously to return to position B; the 'B' icon will blink during the process.
Pan Scan from A to B
To initiate a continuous scan between positions A and B, press the 'Auto' and 'S' keys simultaneously. The pan tilt will repeatedly scan from A to B at the selected speed. The scan direction is pan. Press the 'S' key again to terminate the scan. Note: Positions A and B must be reset after exiting tracking mode.
Continuous Rotating
For continuous rotation, press the 'Auto' key and a directional key (LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN) simultaneously. For example, pressing 'Auto' + 'LEFT' will cause the pan tilt to rotate left continuously. Pressing the same directional key again will stop the rotation.
Tracking Mode
The power switch has three positions: middle (off), up (remote), and down (tracking). To begin tracking: first install the camera and set the switch to 'remote' to adjust the camera angle. Then, switch to 'tracking' mode. The tracking light will turn on, and the device will start tracking.
Tracking Light Indicators:
- Green light on: Tracking is active.
- Green light blinking: Signal is weak or the target is missing.
- Red light on: Tracking has stopped.
The tracking function supports gesture recognition. An 'OK' gesture (thumb and index finger forming a circle) is indicated as the command to start or stop tracking.
Attention: Tracking performance may be affected by ambient brightness. If the brightness is too low or there is backlighting, the tracking result might be poor, and gestures may not be recognized.
Remote Photography
To take photos remotely, connect a shutter cable between the camera and the pan tilt. Ensure the camera, pan tilt, and remote are switched on. Press the 'PHOTO' key on the remote to capture an image. Note: The shutter cable is not included in the accessories.
Accessories
The package includes: Pan tilt unit, operation manual, type-c cable, remote control, one 18650 battery, and AAA batteries.
