Poly Savi X400 Office Base: Quick Start Guide
Diagram shows the Poly Savi X400 Office Base setup. It illustrates connecting the base to a computer, a desk phone (via HEADSET PORT or NO HEADSET PORT), and a power outlet. A headset with a microphone boom is also depicted.
Your Headset System
Your DECT™ headset system offers 3-way connectivity, allowing you to connect to your computer, desk phone, and mobile phone.
Connect the System
Follow the diagram to connect the base to your computer, a power outlet, and your desk phone's headset port. If your desk phone does not have a headset port, connect the base to the handset port.
Refer to the user guide for setup instructions for the optional HL10 lifter or EHS cable.
Charge Your Headset
Place your headset in the cradle and charge it for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Adjust Your Headset Fit
For optimal sound quality, position the microphone boom towards the corner of your mouth.
For the SAVI 8445, choose your preferred wearing style (over-ear, over-head, or behind-head) and assemble it using the included fit kit.
Power On Your Headset
To turn on the headset, slide the power button [power-symbol] until the green indicator is visible.
Note: Headset design may vary.
Pair Your Headset
1. Use the base navigation dial to add your mobile device.
2. On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth™ settings and select 'Poly Savi x400'. Once paired, your connected device will be displayed on the base.
Download Software
The Poly Lens Desktop App is required for softphone call control. It allows you to easily change settings and install device updates.

How to Use
The audio buttons on the base allow you to switch between different phone lines or audio channels.
Make a Call
1. Tap an audio button [audio-button-icon] on the base.
Desk phone only: If you do not have an HL10 lifter or EHS cable, press the desk phone's headset button [headset-button-icon] or manually remove the handset.
Desk phone tip: If you do not hear a dial tone, adjust the configuration switch (labeled F-A) on the back of your base. Setting 'A' works for most desk phones. Use setting 'D' for Cisco phones.
2. Dial from your softphone, mobile phone, or desk phone.
End/Take a Call
To answer or end a call, tap the corresponding audio button on the base or tap the call button [call-button-icon] on the headset.
Desk phone only: If you do not have an HL10 lifter or EHS cable, press the desk phone's headset button [headset-button-icon] or remove the handset to answer a call, and hang up the handset to end a call.
Tip: Headset call control for the computer requires Poly software and softphone compatibility. See the 'Download Software' section.
Troubleshooting
No dial tone from desk phone? Adjust the configuration switch (F-A) on the back of your base until you hear a dial tone. The default setting 'A' works for most phones.
Attention: Use configuration 'D' for Cisco phones. Cisco phones connected via an EHS cable should use configuration 'A'.
