Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Speed Play

Welcome to the exciting world of Bakugan Battle Brawlers! This guide explains the core gameplay mechanics.

Speed Play: How to Battle

Speed Play is a fast-paced way to enjoy Bakugan battles. Here's how to get started:

  1. Step 1: Place a Card

Put one Bakugan card face down in the center of the play area. These cards represent the battle arena and have various G Power values, such as 300, 150, 250, -100, 50, and a special 200 value card.

  2. Step 2: Take Turns Shooting

Players take turns shooting their Bakugans towards the center card. Bakugans should be shot from approximately 2 card lengths away.

  3. Step 3: Bakugan Battle!

When any two Bakugans "Stand" (land successfully) on the card, they engage in battle. The card has a "Sector Side" and a "HoloSector Side".

The objective is to "Brawl for the card!"

⚠️ CAUTION: This game requires nerves of steel!

G Power and G Power Boost: Each Bakugan has a base G Power. Some cards or abilities provide a "G Power BOOST". These are added together to determine the Total G-Power for the battle. For example: 350 (G Power) + 150 (G Power Boost) = 500 Total G-Power.

Special commands may need to be followed during gameplay.

"To the victor goes the spoils!" – The winner of a battle captures the card and the defeated Bakugan.

ℹ️ FACTS

  • The youngest player goes first.
  • Shoot from 2 card lengths away.
  • The winner of a Battle shoots next.
  • If you "Stand" two of your Bakugans on a card, you automatically capture that card.
  • If you tie, keep your Bakugans and remove the card from play.
  • You cannot shoot captured Bakugans.

? WINNING BATTLES

To win a battle:

  1. Compare G Power: Compare the G Power of the battling Bakugans.
  2. Add Boost: Flip the card over and add or subtract your G Power Boost.
  3. Determine Winner: The Bakugan with the most Total G Power wins the Battle!
  4. Capture: When you win a battle, you capture the card and the defeated Bakugan.

? WINNING GAMES

Continue battling until all cards have been captured. Then, count your total HSP (HoloSector Points) points. Each Bakugan is worth 100 HSP.

Total HSP = Bakugan HSP + Captured Cards HSP

The player with the most HSP wins the game!

That's it!

Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Arena Play

Arena Play offers a different strategic experience for Bakugan battles.

Arena Play: Setup and Gameplay

PREPARE

  1. Starting Setup: All players begin with the same number of cards and Bakugans. The minimum is 3 of each. There is no maximum, but only one Special Ability card is allowed per player.
  2. Placing Cards: All players lay one card face down, farthest away from themselves. Players should arrange themselves around the play area (e.g., Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4). Cards should be placed farthest from the player, with play proceeding counter-clockwise, starting with the youngest player. Cards must be shot from 2 card lengths away.
  3. Card Placement Rules: Each card you lay down must touch other cards on one full side.
  4. First Card Restriction: Your first card played may NOT be a Special Ability Card.

BRAWL

Shoot a Bakugan!

Critical KO! ? If your Bakugan knocks a standing Bakugan off a card AND remains STANDING on that same card, you win the BRAWL!

HEAD-TO-HEAD

? When only two players battle, each player places two cards down to form the field, resulting in 4 cards total.

CALLING STAY

? STAY can only be called when you have NO Bakugans to shoot. To call "STAY", choose a Bakugan STANDING on a card. If no other Bakugan STANDS on that card during the round, you capture the card AND win back your Bakugan.

VICTORY

  1. The game ends when all the cards have been captured OR when only one player has Bakugans left to shoot.
  2. Count up your HSP Points. Add up your Bakugans' HSP and your Captured Cards' HSP. (See other side for details).
  3. The player with the highest HSP wins the game!

A TIE IN BATTLE: SUDDEN FURY

If a battle results in a tie:

  1. Both players take back their Bakugans.
  2. Turn the card HoloSector Side UP.
  3. Then... Sudden Fury! Each player shoots again.
