Program Overview
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) offers a grant-funded program to reduce the purchase price of commercial electric lawn and garden equipment. This initiative aims to promote the adoption of zero-emission equipment.
Qualified participants operating within the SCAQMD jurisdiction, including local governments, school districts, nonprofit organizations, and commercial gardeners, can select from a variety of qualifying commercial-grade electric lawn and garden equipment. This program features the Oregon 120V Professional Series, which is noted as the only California Air Resource Board Professional Level Zero Emission Equipment currently available.

How the Program Works
At Authorized Dealers, qualifying participants can exchange older commercial gasoline lawn and garden equipment. In return, they receive an immediate discount toward the purchase of like-kind electric commercial-grade equipment (e.g., a blower for a blower). The surrendered gasoline equipment will be tested for operation, drained of all fluids responsibly, and then permanently destroyed by a licensed dismantler.
