Maintenance: Compensation Adjustment

Before taking measurements, it is essential to check and adjust the probe's compensation to match the oscilloscope channel inputs. Most oscilloscopes feature a square wave reference signal output on the front panel for this calibration. Connect the probe to the signal source to display a 1kHz test signal on the oscilloscope. Ensure the probe is set to the X10 position for adjustment.

Working Voltage Derating Curves

The document includes graphical representations of the maximum working voltage derating as a function of frequency. These curves, titled "Maximum Working Voltage Derating Curve (VDC+Peak AC)", illustrate the reduction in allowable voltage for the 10X attenuation setting as signal frequency increases.
