Cautions for Ambient Pro-Series® Probes

Proper care ensures the longevity and accuracy of your probe.

Usage Restrictions:

  • Do not use the probe in an oven, smoker, or for cooking applications.
  • The probe cable can be safely closed in a refrigerator or freezer door.
  • To disconnect the probe, pull the molded mini-handle; do not pull on the cable itself.
  • The probe cable is rated to withstand temperatures up to 158°F (70°C).
  • The probe tip is immersible in water and is IP67 rated.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Clean the probe by wiping it with a damp cloth and mild kitchen cleaner. While the probe tip can be immersed, avoid cleaning the entire probe or cable in a dishwasher.

  • With proper care, the probe will provide reliable service. Replacement probes are available; use only ThermoWorks Pro-Series Probes.

Damage resulting from improper use or care as described above will void the probe warranty.

Cable Should Avoid:

Protect the probe cable from direct contact with:

  • Flames ?
  • Hot racks ⚙️
  • Coals ?
  • Heating elements ⚡
  • Sharp kinks ?

Damage from these sources will void the probe warranty.
