Introduction
Thank You for purchasing the Timebirds™ workout timer. Upon receipt of the product, check for any defects prior to first use. If defects are found, do not use and contact Timebirds immediately.
Safety
It is important to read and understand all instructions before using Timebirds™. Only use Timebirds™ as described in the manual.
Warning
Overheating, damage or exposure to excessive heat may cause the battery to explode and cause flames resulting in physical harm. Always use a compatible charging device when charging. Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or adaptors beyond their capacity. Do not place the device in a fire or near extreme heat. Stop using the device if the battery is damaged or malfunctioning. Do not attempt to repair the battery. Always recycle, or dispose, of the battery according to your local environment laws and guidelines. Poorly structured, or executed, workouts may cause personal injury. Proper setup and use of this device is the responsibility of the user. Timebirds™ bears no liability beyond the replacement value of the device.
Notice
Timebirds™ is not waterproof and may become damaged if exposed to water. Always place Timebirds™ in a dry area. Dropping, throwing or bumping the device may cause damage to the device. Do not use Timebirds™ as a toy or let children use the device without proper supervision or instruction.

Product Care
Always store Timebirds™ in a clean and dry environment. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth, do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning agents. Do not disassemble, try to repair or modify. The lens is designed to pop in and out. In the event of the lens popping out, simply pop it back in so the Timebirds™ logo can be read while facing you.

Warranty
Timebirds™ is covered by a 12-month limited warranty for manufacturer's defects and faults. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The warranty does not cover negligent or improper use, alteration, mishandling, self-repair, poor maintenance, water damage or incorrect storage. The Timebirds timer features the following controls and ports:
- 1. On/Off button
- 2. Cycle Modes button

Operating the Timebirds Timer
Power
- Hold the [power button] for 2 seconds to turn Timebirds™ on or off.
- Press the [power button] once to display battery level feedback (percentage).
Mode
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through the modes.
- Hold the [mode button] for 2 seconds to go back to the home screen.
Decrement
- Press the [decrement button] to decrease a value.
Increment
- Press the [increment button] to increase a value.
Set
HOME SCREEN
- Press the [validate button] to validate your entry.
- Hold the [validate button] for 2 seconds to start a stopwatch (while in the Home screen).
IN A MODE
- Press the [validate button] to stop the timer.
- Press the [validate button] again to restart.
- Hold the [validate button] for 2 seconds to reset the timer.
2. Screens
General Screens
- Off: Display is off.
- Home Screen: Default display.
- Low Battery Warning: Indicates the battery is critically low.
- Battery Level Feedback (Medium): Shows medium battery level.
- Battery Level Feedback (Full): Shows full battery level.
- Count Up Mode: Timer counts upwards.
- Count Up By Round Mode: Timer counts up, often used for rounds.
- Count Down Mode: Timer counts downwards.
- Count Down By Round Mode: Timer counts down, often used for rounds.
- Interval Training Mode: For timed work and rest periods.
- Clock Mode: Displays the current time.
- Clock Setting: Allows adjustment of the clock.
- Alarm Clock Setting: Allows setting of an alarm.
- Sound Setting: Adjusts audio feedback levels.
- Timebirds Workout Memory Setting: For saving workout data.
- Timebirds Operating System Revision: Displays the current OS version.
Workout Memory
- Reset last workout setting: Clears the last saved workout.
- Save last workout setting: Saves the current workout settings.
Sound, Clock, and Mode Settings
Sound Level Screens
- Sound Off: No audio feedback.
- Sound Level 1: Low volume audio.
- Sound Level 2: Medium volume audio.
- Sound Level 3: High volume audio.
Clock Screens
- AM Time: Displays time in AM/PM format.
- PM Time: Displays time in AM/PM format.
- 12 Hours Clock Format: Sets clock to 12-hour display.
- 24 Hours Clock Format: Sets clock to 24-hour display.
- Alarm On: Activates the alarm.
- Alarm Off: Deactivates the alarm.
Mode Setting Screens
- Counting Up: Sets up a count-up timer.
- Counting Down: Sets up a count-down timer.
- Set A Working Time: Defines the duration of a work interval.
- Set A Rest Time: Defines the duration of a rest interval.
- Set A Number Of Rounds: Sets the total number of rounds.
- Counting Up (Interval Training Mode Only): Specific count-up setting for interval training.
- Count Down (Interval Training Mode Only): Specific count-down setting for interval training.
3. Audio Indications
The Timebirds timer uses different audio cues:
- Long Beep: Mode is set and ready to go.
- Normal Beep: Count Down To Start (3, 2, 1); Transition From One Round To The Next; Transition From A Rest To A Work Period.
- Short Beep: Transition From A Work To Rest Period; Start Of A Workout; End of a workout.
4. Operating Timebirds
Charging Timebirds
- Using the provided USB to USB-C cable, plug the USB-C connector into the USB-C port located on the back of Timebirds™.
- Plug the USB port into any 5V DC power adapter.
- Timebirds™ will display the current level of charge and beep twice as an indication that power is being sent to the device.
- A full charge is indicated by the display showing all segments illuminated.
NOTES: Timebirds™ can operate normally when plugged in.
Battery Level Feedback
- Under the home screen display, press the [select/validate button] to display the level of battery left.
- A display showing low battery (e.g., 88:88:88) will indicate that the battery level is below 10%.
General Overview
- Hold the [power button] for 2 seconds to power up or down Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle modes.
- Press the [select/validate button] to select an option or validate your entry.
- Press the [decrease time button] to decrease time.
- Press the [add time button] to add time.
NOTES: Timebirds™ will turn itself off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
When a timer is running
- Press the [pause button] once to pause the timer.
- Press the [start button] once to start the timer.
- Hold the [reset timer button] for 2 seconds to reset your timer.
When setting up a mode
- The flashing digit represents the number that is being adjusted.
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to add or decrease time.
- Press the [validate and advance button] to validate your entry and advance to the next setting.
- Press the [back button] and [back button] to jump back to a previous setting.
- Hold the [home button] for 2 seconds at any time to return to the home screen.
Adjust Volume
- Hold the [power button] to power up Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the sound setting.
- Alternatively, simply press the [decrease button] or [increase button] at any time when the timer is running to adjust volume.
NOTES: Timebirds™ has 4 volume levels and an Off position, with level 4 being the loudest. By default, Timebirds™ is set at Level 2.
How to display the Clock
- Hold the [power button] to power up Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the clock display (e.g., 88:88:88).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and display the clock.
- Press the [home button] or hold the [home button] for 2 seconds at any time to return to the home screen.
How to set the Clock
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the clock setting screen (e.g., CL:5E).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [adjust GREEN digits button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the GREEN flashing digits for a 12 or 24 hour format.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [adjust RED digits (Hours) button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the pair of RED flashing digits corresponding to Hours.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [adjust RED digits (Minutes) button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the pair of RED flashing digits corresponding to Minutes.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and return to the home screen.
NOTES: The clock setting will remain saved even if Timebirds™ runs out of battery.
How to set the Alarm Clock
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the alarm setting screen (e.g., AL:5E).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [activate alarm button] (using `-` or `+`) to activate your alarm (e.g., AL:88:88).
- Press the [adjust GREEN digits button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the GREEN flashing digits for a 12 or 24 hour format.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [adjust RED digits (Hours) button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the pair of RED flashing digits corresponding to Hours.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [adjust RED digits (Minutes) button] (using `-` or `+`) to adjust the pair of RED flashing digits corresponding to Minutes.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and return to the home screen.
NOTES: By default, the alarm is deactivated. Once the alarm sets off, it will automatically be deactivated.
How to save your workout
- Hold the [power button] to power up Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the memory setting screen (e.g., SE:5E).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [enable/disable memory button] (using `-` or `+`) to enable or disable the memory of your last settings after your Timebirds is turned off.
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and return to the home screen.
NOTES: Individual mode memory settings will retain settings even if the battery dies. Settings (memory) are only saved after the device is turned off using the [power button] or via idle timeout.
How to Reboot my Timebirds?
- Hold the [decrease button] and [increase button] for 2 seconds to reboot/reset Timebirds™ to factory settings.
NOTES: The reboot function is only to be used if your screen is frozen or Timebirds is not responsive to any buttons.
How to start a Count Up
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the Count Up display (e.g., UP:88:88).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digit (time).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and move to the next digit.
- Repeat the above 2 steps until the colon lights up and Timebirds™ beeps once.
- Press the [start button] to start the count up timer.
How to start a Count Up By Rounds (ie EMOM)
NOTES: If you leave all digits to 0, Timebirds™ will count up until 99:59 (Minutes:Seconds).
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the Count Up By Rounds display (e.g., UP:rd).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digit (time).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and move to the next digit.
- Repeat the above 2 steps until you reach the display for number of rounds (e.g., 88:88:88).
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digits (number of rounds).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [start button] to start.
How to start a Count Down
- Hold the [power button] to power up Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the Count Down display (e.g., dn:88:88).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digit (time).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and move to the next digit.
- Repeat the above 2 steps until you reach the display for number of rounds (e.g., 88:88:88).
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digits (number of rounds).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [start button] to start.
How to start a Custom Interval Training (ie Tabata)
- Hold the [power button] to power up Timebirds™.
- Press the [mode button] to cycle through modes until you reach the Interval Training display (e.g., nE).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digit (time on).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and move to the next setting.
- Repeat the above 2 steps until you reach the display for period of rest (e.g., r:88:88).
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digits (period of rest).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection and move to the next setting.
- Repeat the above 2 steps until you reach the display for number of rounds (e.g., 88:88:88).
- Press the [decrease button] or [increase button] to adjust the flashing digits (number of rounds).
- Press the [validate selection button] to validate your selection.
- Press the [start button] to start.
