Product Introduction
The Aqara Curtain Driver E1 is a motorized device designed to automatically control existing curtains. It utilizes the Zigbee 3.0 wireless protocol, enabling scheduled curtain control and integration with other smart devices via the Aqara Home app. An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub is required for operation, and specific functions may depend on the hub model. Installation Requirements
Rail Types
The Smart Curtain Driver E1 (Track Version) is compatible with U-rails and I-rails. For rod installations, the Curtain Driver E1 Rod Version is required.
Installation Requirements of U-Rail
The bottom surface of the U-rail must be flat and smooth. Both sides of the rail should be sealed tightly with closure heads.
Installation Requirements of I-Rail
The bottom surface of the I-rail must be flat and smooth, with a width greater than 10mm.
Installation Requirements of Curtain Track Glider
The distance from the upper surface of the glider hanging ring to the bottom of the rail should be between 16 mm and 25 mm for both U-Rail Gliders and I-Rail Gliders.
Straight and Special-Shaped Rails
The Curtain Driver E1 supports straight and curved rails. For curved rails, the bend should have a radius of at least 25cm.
Quick Start Guide
Preparation before use
- Connect the product to the Aqara Home app before installing it on the curtains. Ensure the Aqara Home app and Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub are installed.
- Open the app, navigate to the "Home" page, tap "+" in the top right corner, select "Add Device (Accessory)", choose "Curtain Driver E1", and connect to the hub following the app's instructions. Press and hold the Setting button for 5 seconds until a voice prompt is heard from the Hub.
- If you have multiple Curtain Drivers, connect them all to the Aqara Home app before installation.
- For double-sided curtains, connect two Curtain Drivers and group them for simultaneous control. On the Curtain Driver's main page, tap the "..." icon in the upper right corner, select "Create a group for Curtains", and follow the instructions.
- It is recommended to fully charge the product before installation.
Installation Methods
Installation Methods for U-Rail
Single-Sided Curtains (one Curtain Driver needed)
- After startup, quickly click the setting button twice to release the hook to its maximum length.
- Hang the Smart Curtain Driver on the first and second gliders on the movable side of the curtains. Extra gliders can be used to position the driver correctly.
- Quickly click the setting button twice to secure the Curtain Driver to the rail. A blinking green indicator light and three short beeps confirm successful installation.
The product can be configured via the app to open/close curtains based on ambient light intensity. For outdoor light control, the light sensor should face the window. For indoor light control, it should face the interior. Ensure no opaque objects obstruct the light sensor.
Double-Sided Curtains (two Curtain Drivers required)
Hang the two Smart Curtain Drivers on the track gliders of the curtains on the left and right sides, following the single-sided installation method.
Installation Methods for I-Rail
Single-Sided Curtains (one Curtain Driver needed)
- After startup, quickly click the setting button twice to release the hook to its maximum length.
- Install two adjustable track gliders onto the rail, positioning them between the first and second existing track gliders on the movable side of the curtains.
- Hang the Curtain Driver on the two newly installed adjustable track gliders.
- Quickly click the setting button twice to secure the Curtain Driver to the rail. A blinking green indicator light and three short beeps confirm successful installation.

Opening Distance Settings
To ensure proper product usage, set the opening range after installation.
Single-Sided Curtains
- After connecting to the Aqara Home app, configure the opening distance via the app by clicking the device card on the Home page and setting the stroke as instructed.
- Alternatively, set the opening distance by pressing the setting button when the device is not connected to the Aqara Home app.
Detailed operations:
A) Pull the curtain to the completely closed position and install the Curtain Driver on the rail as per the "single-sided curtains" installation method.
B) Quickly click the setting button three times to set the first limit point of the range. A long beep confirms successful setting.
C) The Curtain Driver will automatically move to the opening limited point and stop after approximately 10cm. A long beep indicates that the second limit point has been successfully set, completing the opening range setup.
Double-Sided Curtains
A) Pull both left and right curtains to the completely closed position and install the two Curtain Drivers on the rail accordingly, following the "single-sided curtains" installation method.
B) Set the opening distance for the left and right Curtain Drivers by following Steps B and C for single-sided curtains.

Buzzer Description

Battery Charging
When the battery is low, charge the Curtain Driver. Charging steps:
- Quickly click the setting button twice or use the app to release the Curtain Driver from the rail and remove it.
- Use the USB charging cable, plug the Type-C end into the Curtain Driver's charging port and the other end into the adapter for charging.
- Full charging takes approximately 5 hours.
