If you want to send a file to a device that doesn't belong to the Samsung Galaxy product family, simply send a link.³
With Multi Control, it's possible to control your Samsung Galaxy Book, Tab, or smartphone simultaneously with the same mouse, keyboard, or trackpad. Your PC's controls can also be used for your Samsung Galaxy devices. This way, you can easily copy and paste text and drag and drop images from one device to another – almost as if you were working on a single device. It's simple and convenient to use multiple devices for task management.⁴
Thanks to Miracast technology (screen mirroring), you can easily display the content of your smartphone or tablet on a TV or another screen using Smart View. For example, you can select your favorite series or photos on your smartphone and then continue watching them on a TV without interruption.⁵
With Samsung Notes, your notes are automatically updated across all your Samsung Galaxy devices via the Samsung Cloud for a seamless note-taking experience. When setting up your tablet/phone with a Google account, using the internet, and/or internet-based programs (e.g., applications (Apps), Galaxy Apps, Google Mobile Services, Email, Social Networks, Instant Messaging, Content Home Screen), costs may be incurred due to data usage. Please note that the connection may be established automatically. Please check with your network provider/contract partner in advance regarding data charges applicable to your tariff.
Notes
- The mAh figure refers to the typical battery capacity determined under laboratory conditions. The (minimum) capacity determined according to the relevant standard IEC 61960 is lower. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, user behavior, and other factors.
- When using two SIM cards, memory expansion via microSD is not possible. Only one SIM card can be used for data usage.
- Available on devices running One UI 2.1 or higher and Android Q OS or a newer version. Quick Share requires both Bluetooth Low Energy and a Wi-Fi connection. Supported for Galaxy Books released from May 2021 with Windows 10 version 20H2 or a newer version. The number of devices that can share simultaneously via Quick Share depends on the Wi-Fi hardware of the respective device. Actual speed may vary depending on the device, network conditions, and user environment. Quick Share to iOS and Android devices is available by sending a shared link: Individual files must not exceed 3 GB (daily limit: 5 GB), and the link expires after two days; Samsung Account and internet connection are required.
- The Multi Control function is only available on selected Galaxy smartphone, Galaxy Tab, and Galaxy Book devices. It works on tablets with One UI 4.1 or higher, smartphones with One UI 5.1 or higher, and on Galaxy Book series devices released in 2021 or later that use either Samsung Settings v1.5 (Intel) or Samsung Settings v3.3 (ARM). The user must log in to the same Samsung Account on all devices. Function availability may vary by device model.
- Smart View is only available on Galaxy series Smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets that support Miracast. App Cast availability may vary by device, application, and country/region.
- For general use of Samsung Notes across devices, a network or Wi-Fi connection is required. All devices must be logged into the same Samsung Account. Not available on wearables. Collaborative work on shared notes in a group is only available on a Galaxy smartphone or Tab with Android O OS or higher. Requires the latest Samsung Notes app update.
- The available storage capacity depends on the pre-installed software. Free usable storage is less.
- A portion of the internal storage is used as virtual memory to improve the app experience.
- Only available with an optional fast charging adapter.
- When using 2 SIM cards, only one SIM card can be used for data usage.
- IP54: In laboratory tests, the device was sprayed with 10 liters of fresh water per minute from all angles for 5 minutes. No protection against saltwater and other liquids, especially soapy water, alcohol, and/or heated liquid. All covers must always seal completely with the device so that no water can penetrate.
- A headset is required for this function, which is not included in the scope of delivery.
