Terms and Conditions of Sale
Kwikset's standard terms include a 2% prompt payment discount for payment within 25 days from the invoice date, with net 30 days. Interest may be charged on overdue invoices. All orders are subject to acceptance at Kwikset's home office. Prices are subject to change without notice and are for wholesale customers only. Claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of invoice. Changes or cancellations are restricted after 5 working days. Minimum order value is $100.00 net plus shipping. A minimum annual sales volume of $50,000.00 is required for direct sales. Defective merchandise returns require prior written authorization and may incur a 20% restocking fee. All goods are invoiced FOB factory. Kwikset pays freight on orders over $1,000.00 net to a single continental U.S. destination via their choice of carrier.
Warranties: Kwikset offers a Lifetime Mechanical and Finish Limited Warranty for residential purchasers, and a 1-year Electronic Limited Warranty. These warranties apply only to products purchased from Kwikset or authorized sellers. Exclusions include products manufactured before January 1, 2006, damage from improper installation, modifications, misuse, abuse, or use with non-Kwikset components. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and a description of the defect. Remedies may include troubleshooting or product replacement.
Intellectual Property: Kwikset trademarks, trade names, and product designs are the exclusive property of Kwikset. Unauthorized sale, distribution, or promotion is prohibited. Customers may use Kwikset marks only in compliance with Kwikset's policies.
Standards: Kwikset products meet or exceed ANSI, BHMA, UL, and ADA testing requirements.
Miscellaneous: Substitution of non-Kwikset parts or alterations void warranties. Orders not specified with keying requirements ship Keyed Differently (KD). Kwikset reserves the right to revise products, information, or pricing without notice.
Ordering Information
Handing: Determined by facing the outside of the door. Hinge on left = Left-Hand (LH), Hinge on right = Right-Hand (RH). Required for Dummy Kwikset Signature Series levers.
Finishes: Common finishes include Polished Brass (L03, 605), Antique Brass (609), Venetian Bronze (510, 609), Satin Nickel (15, 619), Satin Chrome (26D, 626), Iron Black (514), Polished Chrome (26, 626).
Keying Options: Keyed Alike (K4, K6) available for multiple locksets.
Backset: Adjustable 2 3/8" or 2 3/4".
Functions: Kwikset offers various functions including Passage/Hall & Closet, Privacy/Bed & Bath, Keyed Entry (Knob/Lever), Half Dummy Trim, Single Cylinder Deadbolts, and Double Cylinder Deadbolts.

Deadbolts
Single Cylinder (e.g., 980) and Double Cylinder (e.g., 985) options. Feature SmartKey Security™ and are ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 or AAA certified for high security.
Combo Packs
Bundles typically include a knob or lever with a matching deadbolt, simplifying purchase for common door configurations.

How to Re-Key Your Lock in Seconds (SmartKey™)
The SmartKey Security™ system allows users to re-key their locks easily:
- Insert the current key into the lock and rotate it 90° clockwise.
- Insert the SmartKey tool fully into the SmartKey hole at the bottom of the cylinder cover. Remove the tool and the current key.
- Fully insert the new key into the lock and rotate it 180°.
- Rotate the new key 90° back to the starting position and remove it. The lock is now re-keyed to the new key.
