How to Set Up Eero WiFi

Follow these steps to set up your Eero WiFi system for high-speed internet.

1. Download the Eero App: Obtain the Eero App for iOS or Android from eero.com/app.
2. Set Up Eero Account: Open the Eero App, create an Eero account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Select Gateway Device: In the app, select 'eero' as the device you are setting up as the gateway.
4. Connect Eero to Modem: Connect your Eero device to one of the four yellow Ethernet ports on the back of your modem. Plug the Eero into an electrical outlet. Ensure the modem is powered on and the Broadband light is solid green.
5. Choose Eero Location: Select the location of your Eero within the app to help identify it later (e.g., Basement, Bedroom, Dining Room, Family Room, Garage, Hallway, Kitchen, Living Room).
6. Create Your Network: Enter a Network Name and Password for your Eero WiFi. This will be the new WiFi network and password you use to connect your devices.
7. Add Additional Eero Devices (if applicable): If you have more than one Eero device, follow the prompts to add them. Ensure you select 'eero' as the device type.
8. Disable Modem WiFi: Once setup is complete and your devices are connected to the new Eero network, contact IgLou to disable the WiFi built into your modem. This prevents interference between the two devices.
