This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved by a person responsible for their safety. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

IMPORTANT:

STARKVIND air purifier can be used as a standalone device and also works together with TRÅDFRI Gateway and the IKEA Home smart app.

QUICK GUIDE

If you have an iOS device: Go to the App Store and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will guide you through the process of adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÅDFRI Gateway.

If you have an Android device: Go to Google Play and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will guide you through the process of adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÅDFRI Gateway.

Pairing: Adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÅDFRI Gateway.

STARKVIND air purifier: You will find the pairing button by removing the front cover.

Fan Speed Control

The fan speed can be regulated between 1 to 5 and Auto mode.

Auto Mode

In Auto mode, the product selects the fan speed in accordance with the ambient air quality. The air quality sensor is active and measures PM 2.5 particles when the air purifier is running.

Indicators for air quality (PM 2.5) (only in the IKEA Home smart app):

Operational temperature: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).

Humidity when operational: 10 to 60% RH (Recommended operational humidity: 40-60% RH)

When STARKVIND air purifier is connected to the mains for the first time, the LED lights on the control panel light up in succession. When the LED lights stop illuminating, the product is ready to use.

Press the control knob to put it in Auto mode, or turn to the desired level. Press the knob again to turn it off. A long press activates the Control lock. It can also be controlled from the IKEA Home smart app.

Care Instructions

Unplug the product before cleaning. To clean the product, wipe with a soft damp cloth. Use another soft dry cloth to wipe dry. Vacuum clean the pre-filter regularly.

Note! Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents since these can damage the product.

Cleaning the Air Quality Sensor

Vacuum clean the air quality sensor regularly.

Filter Replacement Procedure

One LED light illuminated on the control panel indicates that you should check your filters.

Warning!

The power supply cord must be disconnected during filter replacement!

  1. Disconnect the power and wait until the fan has stopped.
  2. Remove the pre-filter and clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner or with water depending on how dirty it is.
  3. Remove filter(s), and handle used filters carefully. Dispose of the filter(s) in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.
  4. Clean the inside, removing all dust and dirt.
  5. Insert the new filter(s). (Touch only the frame of the gas filter).
  6. Reconnect the power supply cord.
  7. When you have replaced a filter, press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds. The reset initialises the filter replacement cycle counter.
  8. Fix the pre-filter in place.

Wash your hands thoroughly after replacing the filter(s).
