Shelly Pro 3EM Three-Phase Energy Meter
User and Safety Guide
Product Introduction
Shelly® devices are innovative microprocessor-managed devices that allow remote control of electric circuits via mobile phone, tablet, PC, or home automation system. They can operate standalone in a local Wi-Fi network or through cloud home automation services. Shelly Cloud is accessible via Android or iOS mobile applications or any internet browser at https://home.shelly.cloud/. Devices can be accessed, controlled, and monitored remotely with internet connectivity, provided they are connected to a Wi-Fi router and the internet.
The embedded Web Interface is accessible at http://192.168.33.1 when connected directly to the device access point, or at the device's IP address on the local Wi-Fi network. This interface allows monitoring, control, and settings adjustment.
Shelly® devices can communicate directly with other Wi-Fi devices via HTTP protocol. An API is provided by Allterco Robotics EOOD. For more information, visit https://shelly-api-docs.shelly.cloud/#shelly-family-overview.
Devices are delivered with factory-installed firmware. Allterco Robotics EOOD provides free firmware updates for conformity and security via the device's Embedded Web Interface or the Shelly mobile application. The user is solely responsible for installing firmware updates.
Shelly® Pro Series
The Shelly® Pro series is designed for homes, offices, retail stores, manufacturing facilities, and other buildings. Shelly® Pro devices are DIN mountable inside the breaker box and suitable for new building construction. They can be controlled and monitored via Wi-Fi and LAN connections, with Bluetooth available for the inclusion process.
The Shelly Pro 3EM is a DIN rail mountable three-phase energy meter that reports accumulated energy, voltage, current, and power factor data in real-time. It stores data in non-volatile memory for at least 60 days with 1-minute data resolution.

⚠CAUTION! Do not connect the device to appliances exceeding the maximum load.
⚠CAUTION! Connect the device only as shown in these instructions. Other methods may cause damage or injury.
⚠CAUTION! Do not install the device where it can get wet.
⚠CAUTION! Plug or unplug the LAN cable only when the device is powered off. The LAN cable must not be metallic in user-touched parts.
⚠RECOMMENDATION: Use solid single-core cables with increased insulation heat resistance (not less than PVC T105°C).
Before installation, turn off breakers and verify no voltage is present at the terminals using a phase tester or multimeter.
Follow Fig. 1 to install the current transformers (CTA, CTB, CTC) around the respective phase cables (A, B, C) to the load(s). Install the CTN around the Neutral cable from the load(s).
Mount the Device onto the DIN rail.
Connect the CTA, CTB, and CTC cables to the IA, IB, and IC input connectors respectively. Connect the CTN cable to IN.
Mount circuit breakers according to local regulations and connect the Phase A, Phase B, and Phase C cables through them to the Device A, B, and C inputs respectively. Connect the Neutral cable to the N input.
The Device is powered through its C input.
Ensure all connections are correct before turning on the circuit breakers.
Initial Inclusion
For Shelly Cloud mobile application and service usage, refer to the “App Guide”. The Shelly mobile application and Shelly Cloud service are not required for the device to function properly. The device can be used standalone or with various other home automation platforms and protocols.
⚠CAUTION! Keep devices for remote control (mobile phones, tablets, PCs) away from children. Do not allow children to play with buttons/switches connected to the Device.
