Safety Guidelines and Restrictions

10. Do not drive on steep slopes

Acceptable gradeability is different for each product. Excessive hill roads exceeding the specification may cause damage to the product (parts) due to temperature cut, overcurrent, or low voltage cut, which may cause the product to malfunction.

11. Safety warning when lifting the product

Please always lift the product with at least one other person. When lifting the product, please be careful not to damage your back or knees.

12. Be sure to wear safety equipment

For the safety of passengers, be sure to wear a full face helmet and the other protective gear (for knees, elbows, hands, upper body) and do not wear shoes such as slippers or high heels that can interfere with driving.

2) Precaution before driving

  1. Night driving should be avoided at all times. Always wear helmets and other body guards and drive safely.
  2. Select the mode that suits you and drive. In order to cope with sudden situations, be prepared to slow down by holding the brake at all times.
  3. When turning left / right, slow down to avoid the danger of overturning or slipping, then slowly turn safely.
  4. To go backwards safely, get off the product only after coming to a complete stop.
  5. It is prohibited to use in any places that are slippery, crowded, have a steep slope, or are uneven.
  6. When crossing a pedestrian crossing, get off from the product for pedestrian safety.
  7. Do not drive in a way that threatens any other means of transport, such as animals, pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, etc.
  8. When passing speed bumps and road obstacles, be sure to slow down.
  9. When decelerating or braking, do not stop with your foot, but by using the brake appropriately.
  10. Be careful as there is a risk of burns due to heat from the motor and brake (especially disk rotor) after driving.

How to use the charger correctly

1) Basic charging method

  1. Open the charger port cap, connect the charger to the port, and plug into a household outlet.
  2. Charging status indicator: Red = Charging.
  3. Ensure the charger port cap is closed when not charging.
  4. Minor sparks may occur when connecting the charger due to voltage difference, which is normal.

2) Basic charging method Failure of the charger and abnormal conditions can cause electric shock and fire.

  • Manufacturers and sellers are not responsible for issues arising from disassembly, modification, or mixing with other chargers.
  • Do not use the charger in high humidity, heat, near flammable materials, confined spaces, or without ventilation (e.g., in a car).
  • The charger is not waterproof. Prevent moisture from entering.
  • Keep children and pets away from the charger to prevent electric shock.
  • If the charger lamp does not light, or if it is dropped, subjected to strong shock, charged for a long time, or the cable is damaged, discontinue use and contact a service center.
  • Unplug the charger when away from home for extended periods.
  • Use only genuine chargers.
  • Do not insert conductors into the charging port.
  • Avoid touching the plug for about 10 seconds after unplugging due to residual charge.
  • Do not remove the terminal during charging to avoid damaging the internal circuit.
  • Do not operate the product while charging.
  • Ensure charging terminals are firmly contacted and not corroded or damaged.
  • Hold the terminal, not the wire, when disconnecting the charger.
  • Disconnect the charger after charging is complete. Disconnect if unused for several days to prevent overcharging.

Safety precautions for Lithium battery

1) Care:

Protect lithium batteries from direct exposure to children and pets.

2) Performance:

Lithium battery performance is affected by external temperature. In winter, performance may temporarily decrease. Battery discharge performance reduces by over 15% after 300 charge/discharge cycles. Replace with a genuine battery if usage time shortens significantly.

3) Charging:

  1. Use only genuine batteries and chargers.
  2. Using non-genuine chargers may cause malfunction or fire.
  3. Charge in a well-ventilated, dry place away from flammable materials.
  4. Charge lithium batteries at 0-45°C and discharge within -10-60°C. Sub-batteries: charge at 0-50°C, discharge within -20-75°C. Charging/discharging outside these ranges can cause malfunction, fire, or explosion.
  5. Allow 1-2 hours for the product to acclimate indoors after being in cold weather to prevent condensation.

4) Storage:

Keep batteries away from snow, rain, and direct sunlight. Do not store or charge in hot environments. Store in a dry place at room temperature (10-20°C). For storage over 3 months, charge to 70-80% (do not store fully charged).

5) Trouble symptom, safety:

If the battery is damaged, leaking, has a sour odor, or is deformed, discontinue use and contact customer support. If overheating, smoke, or ignition occurs, stop charging/use immediately, move the product outdoors, and use a fire extinguisher. Do not use water. Avoid long charging periods without supervision due to the risk of fire from short circuits or faulty cells.

6) Misuse:

Short-circuiting, reversing polarity, or impacting the battery can cause malfunction or fire. If the battery is impacted, stop use and have it inspected.

7) Water inflow:

Prevent water from entering the battery. Connecting the charger with moisture present poses a fire or electric shock risk.

8) Caution:

Disconnect the battery from the main unit except when recharging and reinstalling. Do not use for other purposes.

9) Disposal:

Separate the battery from the product before disposal. Do not short-circuit the terminals. Dispose of as industrial waste.

ADANGER Battery disassembly prohibited

Battery disassembly, modification, and repair are not covered under warranty.

Safety guidelines before driving

1) Required checking before use

  1. Check throttle and handle: Operate the accelerator throttle lever 2-3 times to ensure it returns to the home position. Avoid excessive manipulation. Check for free play in the handlebars.
  2. Check brake and cable: Ensure sufficient braking force. Check brake pad wear, cable tension, damage, and hydraulic brake fluid levels. Inspect for inner wire breakage, wear, or deformation. Ensure brake fixing bolts and nuts are tight and the disc is not deformed.
  3. Check tire pressure and abnormal tread wear: Check tires for wear, punctures, and proper inflation pressure. Replace tires if they show damage or uneven wear.
  4. Tightening check such as folding part and handle part: Ensure all bolts and nuts are tight, especially on folding and fixing parts (folding knob, swing arm, suspension arm bolt, etc.).

In these cases, stop driving immediately.

If you experience unusual motor heating, brake malfunction, error messages on the instrument panel, throttle not returning to position, or battery issues (not fully charging, reduced riding distance), stop driving immediately and contact a service center. Provide pictures and videos for accurate diagnosis.

Maintenance and self-maintenance

Check the replacement timing of consumable parts

Consumable parts like bearings, discs, brake pads, cables, folding parts, brackets, tires, wheels, and suspension components require periodic inspection and replacement. Check for external damage, discoloration from sun exposure, and fatigue breakdown due to frequent impacts or long-term use on rough roads. Consult the product's replacement schedule.

Important check list

  • Metal vibration may occur due to motor and brake disc/pad vibration at certain speeds (approx. 15-30 Km/h). This is normal for rotating objects but if noise is excessive, the disc may be bent.
  • Be aware of the risk of burns from the motor and brake (especially the disc rotor) after driving.
  • Motor, rim, and motor shaft bolts may loosen due to the ABS function.
  • When inspecting or repairing, remove the side cover, attach the power switch, and use standard bolts. Avoid using non-standard bolts, especially long ones, as they can damage the battery casing and cause fire hazards.
  • Folding parts and joints may experience surface or paint damage due to normal use and operation.
  • When inspecting the product, ensure both wheels are off the ground and work on a safe workstation.
