GETTING STARTED

Initial set up

  1. Pull that air fryer out of the box!
  2. Remove the basket and check the cooking cavity for loose packing material before first use.
  3. DO NOT put the air fryer on your stove-top. DO NOT place your air fryer on top of another appliance. Place your Air Fryer on a stable, level surface, away from combustible material and external heat sources. Make sure to leave at least 5in (13cm) of space above and around all sides of the appliance.
  4. Follow the CARE, CLEANING AND STORAGE instructions to clean your new air fryer before using it. Do not remove the rating label from the air fryer.

Using your air fryer

Stage 1: Setting up the air fryer for cooking

  1. Plug in the air fryer and enter the standby mode.
  2. Remove the basket and wash and dry it.
  3. Make sure that there are no packaging materials in the basket.
  4. Re-insert the basket into the air fryer.
  5. Turn the knob to select a desired cooking mode or MENU-IQ preset. MENU-IQ presets (except Memory) can automatically determine the cook time for your food.
  6. Touch [time-icon] ⏰ or [temp-icon] ?️, and rotate the knob, to change the set cooking time or temp. Changing the time or temp on a MENU-IQ preset will cancel the auto cook time calculation.
  7. Touch [start-pause-icon] ▶️ or press the knob to start cooking. For MENU-IQ presets, place food in the basket before cooking. For cooking modes, allow the air fryer to preheat first.

The first few time you use your air fryer, you may notice a strong plastic smell. This is normal, non-toxic, and goes away quickly.

Stage 2: "Cooking" (..but not really, this is just a test!)

  1. When the air fryer is ready to start cooking the food, it will show "Add Food". For initial test run, do not add the food. When the display shows "Add Food", remove and re-insert the basket. While cooking, the display will show the remaining time.
  2. Approximately half way through cooking, the display will show "Turn Food". Remove the basket and flip or turn the food or wait 30 seconds for the message to disappear.
  3. Once there is 1 minute of cook time remaining, the display will start to countdown in seconds and once cooking is complete, the display will show "End" and will beep 5 times.
  4. During cooking, quick touch [cancel-icon] ❌ twice or hold [cancel-icon] ❌ for 3s to stop the cooking and go back to menu selection.

CARE, CLEANING AND STORAGE

Clean your air fryer, basket and crisper plate after each use. Always unplug the air fryer and let it cool to room temperature before cleaning. Never use harsh chemical detergents, scouring pads, or powders on any of the parts or components. Let all surfaces dry thoroughly before use, and before storage.

Part or accessory Cleaning method
Basket Clean the air fryer basket with a sponge or cloth and warm water and dish soap, then rinse well. Ensure that all grease and food debris are removed. DO NOT immerse the basket in water or any other liquid.
Crisper plate Clean the basket insert with a cloth or sponge and warm water with dish soap. The basket insert has non-stick coating. To avoid damage to the non-stick coating, DO NOT use metal cleaning utensils.
Cooking cavity Clean the cooking cavity with a sponge or soft cloth and warm water and dish soap. To remove baked-on grease and food residue from cooking cavity, spray with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar and wipe clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, allow the mixture to sit on the affected area for several minutes before scrubbing clean.
Exterior Check the heating element for oil spatter and food debris. Clean the heating element with a damp cloth as needed. Ensure the heating element is completely dry before next use. Clean with a soft and damp cloth or sponge and wipe dry.

⚠️ WARNING

Without proper cleaning, food and grease splatter may build up around the heating element. This can cause smoke, fire, and personal injury. If you see or smell smoke, touch Cancel, unplug the appliance, and allow it to cool. Remove food residue or grease with a soft cloth and dishsoap.

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY (U.S. ONLY)

Warranty Period:

This warranty is available to consumers only. You are a consumer if you own a Toshiba that was purchased at retail for personal, family or household use. Except as otherwise required under applicable law, this warranty is not available to retailers or other commercial purchasers or owners.

We warrant that your Toshiba will be free of defects in materials or workmanship under normal home use for 1 year from the date of original purchase. However, product registration does not eliminate the need for the consumer to maintain the original proof of purchase in order to obtain the warranty benefits. In the event that you do not have proof of purchase date, the purchase date for purposes of this warranty will be the date of manufacture. If your Toshiba should prove to be defective within the warranty period, we will repair it, or if we think necessary, replace it. To obtain warranty service, simply call our toll-free number 1-855-204-5313 for additional information from our Customer Service Representatives.

NOTE:

For added protection and secure handling of any Toshiba product that is being returned, we recommend you use a traceable, insured delivery service. Toshiba cannot be held responsible for in-transit damage or for packages that are not delivered to us. Lost and/or damaged products are not covered under warranty. Please be sure to include your return address, daytime phone number, description of the product defect, product model number (located on bottom of product), original date of purchase, and any other information pertinent to the product's return.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY

California law provides that for In-Warranty Service California residents have the option of returning a nonconforming product (A) to the store where it was purchased or (B) to another retail store that sells Toshiba products of the same type. The retail store shall then, at its discretion, either repair the product, refer the consumer to an independent repair facility, replace the product, or refund the purchase price less the amount directly attributable to the consumer's prior usage of the product. If the above two options do not result in the appropriate relief to the consumer, the consumer may then take the product to an independent repair facility if service or repair can be economically accomplished. Toshiba, and not the consumer, will be responsible for the reasonable cost of such service, repair, replacement, or refund for nonconforming products under warranty.

California residents may also, according to their preference, return nonconforming products directly to Toshiba for repair, or if necessary, replacement, by calling our Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-855-204-5313. Toshiba will be responsible for the cost of the repair, replacement, and shipping and handling for such products under warranty.
