AIOTO GO Quick Start Guide

What's in the box

The AIOTO GO package includes:

  • AIOTO GO camera: A compact, white security camera.
  • Quick start guide: ℹ️ A small booklet with instructions.
  • 4G SIM card (optional): ? A standard SIM card for cellular connectivity.
  • Outdoor security mount: ? A bracket designed for mounting the camera outdoors.
  • Pack of screws: ?️ Fasteners for installation.
  • Power adapter: ? A wall adapter for charging.
  • Micro USB cable: ? A cable for connecting to the power adapter.
  • QR code label for pairing: ? A label with a QR code used for connecting the camera to the app.

LED Indicator

The LED indicator on the camera shows its status:

  • ⚫ Blue solid: Camera is registered and connected to the mobile network.
  • ? Blue blinking: Camera is connecting to the mobile network.
  • ? Red blinking: Camera is starting up.
  • ⚫ Red solid: SIM card not inserted, damaged, or inactive; failed to connect to mobile network.
  • ⚫ Green solid: Battery is charged to 100%.
  • ? Green blinking: Battery is charging.
  • ⚫ Orange solid: SD card type is invalid.
  • ⚫ Purple solid: Camera is receiving a firmware update.

General Introduction

The AIOTO GO camera has the following components:

Front View:

  • Camera lens: ? 1080P image sensor.
  • LED indicator
  • Microphone: ? For audio capture.
  • PIR sensor: ? Detects motion.
  • Light sensor: ? Adjusts camera settings based on ambient light.
  • Speaker: ? For audio output.

Bottom View:

  • Micro SD card slot: ? For storing video recordings.
  • Micro SIM card slot: ? For cellular network connectivity.
  • Micro USB port: ? For charging the device.
  • Power key: ? Used to turn the camera on/off.

How to set up the camera?

1. Activate the SIM card

(Skip this step if a SIM card is pre-included.)

  • Activate the SIM card using your smartphone or another device before inserting it into the camera.
  • If the SIM card has a PIN code, disable it using your smartphone.
  • Ensure the SIM card works correctly on your smartphone before inserting it into the camera.

2. Insert the SIM card and Micro SD card

Insert the SIM card and a Micro SD card into the camera before powering it up. A Micro SD card is required to set up the camera.

3. Activate the camera

  • After inserting the SIM card and Micro SD card, press and hold the power key for 2 seconds to turn on the camera.
  • The camera will automatically connect to the mobile network after powering up.
  • LED indicator status during setup:
    • Blinking red light (??) during startup.
    • Blinking blue light (??) when connecting to the mobile network.
    • Solid blue light (⚫?) upon successful connection.
    • Solid red light (⚫?) if connection fails.

Pair the camera with the AIOTO app

  1. Download the AIOTO app from the App Store (?) or Google Play (▶️).
  2. Create a new user account.
  3. Scan the QR code on the camera using the app to complete the pairing process.

Place the camera and it's ready to go!

  • Ensure the subject you wish to monitor is within the camera's field of view.
  • The suggested viewing distance is 2-10 meters.
  • For effective motion detection, install the camera at a downward angle (angle of depression greater than 10°).

How to charge the camera?

You can charge the camera using the included power adapter or the AIOTO Solar Panel accessory.

  • Charging via power adapter: Connect the power adapter to a wall outlet and use the Micro USB cable to connect it to the camera.
  • Charging via AIOTO Solar Panel: Connect the AIOTO Solar Panel accessory to the camera for continuous power supply. (Note: The AIOTO solar panel is NOT included in the box.)

During charging, the camera's LED indicator will blink green (??) for approximately one minute, and then turn solid green (⚫?) when the battery is fully charged.

How to install the wall mount?

Installation involves mounting the camera securely:

  • Screw the wall mount to the wall using the provided screws.
  • Attach the camera to the wall mount and adjust its angle for the optimal viewing position.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN FIRE (?), ELECTRIC SHOCK (⚡), OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.

  1. Charge the camera with a standard, high-quality DC 5V battery charger.
  2. If charging via a solar panel, use only the AIOTO Solar Panel. Other brands are not compatible.
  3. Charge the battery in temperatures between 0°C and 45°C.
  4. Keep the USB charging port dry, clean, and free of debris.
  5. After the battery is fully charged, cover the USB charging port with the rubber plug.
  6. Never charge, use, or store the AIOTO Go camera near ignition sources or hazardous objects like fire or heaters.
  7. Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet.
  8. Do not expose the power adapter or its cable to liquids.
  9. If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
  10. To avoid the risk of electric shock (⚡), do not touch your device or any connected wires during a lightning storm.

AIOTO Go is not designed for 24/7 full capacity running or around-the-clock live view streaming. It is designed to record motion events and allow remote live view streaming only when needed.
