2. A Quick Look

The Vivitar IPC112G camera features:

3. Mounting

For Wooden Walls or Studs

Use the included [mounting screws] for wooden walls or studs. They go through the [mounting plate] screw holes and then screw into the wall.

For Concrete, Brick or Stucco Walls

Use the included [anchors] for concrete, brick, or stucco walls. Screw anchors into the wall first. Then, [mounting screws] go through the [mounting plate] screw holes and screw into the [anchors].

After attaching the [mounting plate] to the wall, attach your camera to the plate, ensuring it stays securely in place.

4. App Installation

To use your camera, download the Vivitar Smart Security 2 App from the Google Play Store (Android) or iPhone App Store.

5. App Registration

To use the Vivitar Smart Security 2 App, create an account:

  • Open the Vivitar Smart Security 2 App and press "Register."
  • Agree to the terms of the privacy policy.
  • Enter your email address or phone number to create an account.
  • You will receive a verification code via email or text message. Enter it.
  • Set a password for your account. Once finished, you can log in.

6. App Setup

Once logged in, press "Create Family" to store your home's location and describe rooms where devices will be located.

7. Camera Setup

  1. Connect the included [USB cable] to the Micro USB port at the bottom of the camera and the other end to the [AC adapter].
  2. Wait 30-60 seconds for the camera to enter Wi-Fi setup mode. This may take up to a minute.
  3. In Wi-Fi setup mode, the camera will emit a prompt musical melody and then beep every few seconds.

For best results, insert a high-speed Micro SD memory card (8-64GB) into the Micro SD memory card slot.

NOTE: If experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues, press the [reset button] for approximately 5 seconds to reset the camera. The reset button is in a recessed hole on the rear of the camera.

8. Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your phone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network via your phone's settings menu.

Open your Vivitar Smart Security 2 app. Choose "Add Device," then select "Smart Camera" on the "Add Device" screen.

Confirm the camera's LED indicator is blinking rapidly or a prompt tone is heard. Proceed to the next step. (Note: If no LED indicator, continue if the camera is beeping consistently.)

Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password.

9. Wi-Fi Connection

Your app will display a QR code. Hold your phone directly in front of the camera's lens (15-20 cm) for the camera to scan it.

Your camera should emit a beep, indicating it's ready to connect to your network.

Wait for the Wi-Fi connection to establish.

Once connected, you can use the app to control your camera. The device is added successfully.

10. Using the App

On the app's main screen, view the camera's connection status. Press the camera icon to view video.

Press the "Me" icon to access settings and additional help.

View your home, dorm room, office, and more.

NOTE: App screenshots may differ from those in the guide due to frequent software updates and improvements.

11. FCC Statement

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

12. Warranty Card

This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.

Covers products failing under normal usage due to material or workmanship defects for one year (repair/replacement at no charge).

What Is Not Covered: Damages from misuse, unauthorized repair, tampering, modification, or accident.
