The PFCC-1 Capacitor is part of the Elkay family of switches, timers and detectors which save energy and increase convenience in and around your home, garden or premises.

Rating at 240V ac

• Suitable for all load types
• For correcting some low wattage and LED lighting

Description

This Elkay capacitor is a 4µf 400V a.c. lighting capacitor that is designed to assist with the switching of low wattage and LED lighting when using the 2 wire Elkay range of timers and sensors. For example: 2D fittings, energy saving bulbs, LED's or any low power consuming load.

The capacitor can also be used on contactors to assist in switching of loads above 16A by connecting the capacitor across the contactors coil A1 & A2 when using the Elkay range of electronic timers. The lighting capacitor should be fitted at the first light, or point of the load, from the switch. The capacitor should be fitted at the Switch Live and Neutral (See diagram 1). There is no polarity on this product.

Note: 400V a.c. capacitors are suitable for all a.c. voltages below 400V.

Important Notice

All wiring should be carried out by a competent person or a qualified electrician and should be fitted to current IEE wiring regulations BS 7671. The circuit should be isolated before carrying out any work. Failure to adhere to the instructions will invalidate the warranty.
