1. Device Overview

The front of the ActionCam v3 features a large 7-inch LCD screen and an integrated RFID antenna. The device is designed for user interface and RFID tag interaction.

2. Electrical/Power

The device is powered via the RJ45 Ethernet connector. It requires a power supply that meets the PoE 802.3at standard, Type 1, or higher. The maximum power consumption of the unit is 12.95W.

3. PoE/LAN Connection

Power and network connectivity are established through the single RJ45 Ethernet connector. Network configuration, including IP address assignment, should be handled by a DHCP server on the local network. If the device fails to obtain an IP address from the server, a message will be displayed on the screen to alert the user of the lack of network connection. This PoE/LAN connection is the sole operational mode for the unit.

4. Device Operation

When the device is properly configured and connected to the network, it will establish a connection with the host server and display a sequence of images in a loop on its LCD screen. Upon presentation of an RFID ICODE tag in front of the LCD, the device will provide audible feedback (a beep) and display images received from the server as a response. The ActionCam v3 functions as a terminal, presenting messages sent from the server over the Ethernet LAN connection to the user. It also transmits RFID tag information read by the device to the server via the LAN connection and can write information sent from the server to the user's RFID tag.
