Sun Glow Motor Programming Instructions: Setup Guide

Programming Instructions

MOTOR INFORMATION

1. Ensure the motor is protected from damages during transportation, storage, installation, or misuse, as these can cause it to not work properly.

2. Charge the motor every 6 months to ensure optimal performance.

3. If the battery charge is low, the motor will beep 10 times to prompt charging.

4. The maximum running time of the motor is 6 minutes. After this period, the motor will enter sleep mode. It will remain in wake-up/programming mode if restarted.

Programming information resides within the motor. Each motor can store up to 20 copied channels.

CONTROL RANGE

⚠️ SIGNAL STRENGTH AND RANGE MAY VARY DEPENDING ON THE ACTUAL ENVIRONMENT.

The operating temperature range for the motor is between -10°C and 55°C.

Diagram Description: A visual representation shows a roller shade, a remote control emitting a signal (L1), and obstructions affecting the signal (L2).
  • Range in Open Area (L1): 200 meters
  • Range with Obstructions (L2): 35 meters
  • Emission Frequency: 433.92/868 MHz

RECHARGING THE MOTOR

To recharge the motor's battery, connect the SG DC charger to the motor head charging jack and plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The charger's indicator light will turn green when the battery is fully charged (it is red while charging).

Alternatively, the SG Solar Panel can be used to keep the battery constantly charged when exposed to sufficient sunlight.

⚠️ IF PURCHASING MORE THAN ONE CHARGER, PLEASE ENSURE THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE ON THE CHARGER AND MOTOR MATCH.

Visuals: A charger light indicator, a SG Solar Panel, and the motor head with its charging jack are depicted. The "CE" mark is also visible.

MOTOR BUTTON LAYOUT

Visual Description: The motor head is shown with a "Motor Setting Button" and a "Charging Jack".

REMOTE BUTTON LAYOUT

The system includes various remote control options:

15 Channel Remote

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

? STOP

  1. Motors are shipped in factory default mode with no limits set.
  2. Channel "0" cannot be programmed on a multi-channel remote; it is reserved as a master channel for all motors.
  3. Select the desired channel before activating wake-up mode, basic, or advanced programming settings.

STEP 1: PREPARING FOR PROGRAMMING

WAKE-UP MODE

(Must be done before Basic & Advanced Programming)

This step is required to establish the connection between the remote and the motor. Ensure operations are performed within 10 seconds of each other; otherwise, the program will cancel, and the motor will revert to default mode. Follow the steps below to wake up the motor.

Note: No limits are assigned during wake-up mode.

Programming Sequence:
  1. HOLD the motor setting button.
  2. Wait for the motor to jog once ([motor jog] 1X).
  3. RELEASE the button to activate the motor.
  4. The motor will beep once ([motor beep] 1X).
  5. HOLD the motor setting button again.
  6. Wait for the motor to jog twice ([motor jog] 2X).
  7. The motor will beep three times ([motor beep] 3X).
  8. Setup is complete (✔️).

Test Shade: Move the shade by holding the up or down button to confirm the motor operates on the correct channel and moves in the desired direction.

⚠️ Do not let the shade crash into the valance or unroll completely from the tube.

SWITCH DIRECTION

Programming Sequence:
  1. HOLD TOGETHER the up and down buttons.
  2. Wait for the motor to jog once ([motor jog] 1X).
  3. Setup is complete (✔️).

Test Shade: Move the shade up and down to ensure the direction has been changed correctly.

⚠️ Do not let the shade crash into the valance or unroll completely from the tube.

STEP 2: BASIC PROGRAMMING

SETTING MOTOR LIMITS

This allows you to set two positions: the upper and lower limits for each shade per channel. During limit setting, operations must be performed within 2 minutes of each other; otherwise, the program will cancel, and the motor will return to wake-up mode. Follow the steps below to set motor limits.

Setting Upper Limit:
  1. Navigate to the desired upper limit position.
  2. HOLD TOGETHER the up and down buttons.
  3. Wait for the motor to jog twice ([motor jog] 2X).

  5. Setup is complete (✔️).
Setting Lower Limit:
  1. Navigate to the desired lower limit position.
  2. HOLD TOGETHER the up and down buttons.
  3. Wait for the motor to jog twice ([motor jog] 2X).
  4. The motor will beep three times ([motor beep] 3X).
  5. Setup is complete (✔️).

Note: Holding the up or down buttons will move the shade automatically.

Test Shade: Move the shade up and down to test the upper and lower limits. Refer to "Adjusting Motor Limits" for fine-tuning if necessary.
