Five Triangles are worked separately, then sewn together to make Scarf. 2. Each Triangle is worked back and forth in rows and shaped with increases. 3. Edging is worked around the outside edge of the seamed Triangles to complete the Scarf. TRIANGLES (make 5) Wrap yarn around index finger. Insert hook into ring on finger, yarn over and draw up a loop. Carefully slip ring from finger and work the stitches of Rnd 1 into the ring. Row 1 (RS): Ch 2 (does not count as a st), work 7 dc in ring Gently but firmly, pull tail to tighten center of ring. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc in center st and place a marker in the 2nd (middle) sc of 3 sc just made, sc in next 2 sts, 2 scin last st you will have 11 sc in this row (5 sc on each side of marked center sc). Row 3: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), turn, (dc, ch 1, dc) in first st, * ch 1, sk next st, dc in next st; rep from * to marked st, ch 1, dc in marked st and move marker to dc just made, ch 1, ** dc in next st, ch 1, sk next st; rep from ** to last st, (dc, ch 1, dc) in last st 17 sts (4 dc and 4 ch-1 sps on each side of marked center dc).
