Introduction

Before printing an ideal object, understanding the material's limits under various conditions is crucial for successful printing. Phrozen provides the following design recommendations to help you significantly improve print success rates and achieve objects that better match your vision.

* The Mega 8K requires increased curing time due to its larger pull force to improve print success rate.

* Always cover the printer with a light-blocking cover during printing to maintain the optimal printing environment for the resin.

Washing and Curing

  1. It is recommended to use Phrozen's post-processing equipment: "Phrozen Wash & Cure Kit".
  2. Use the Phrozen Wash water-cleaning machine, add 95% alcohol, and wash for 45-60 seconds. Do not soak in alcohol or other solvents (e.g., IPA) for more than 60 seconds, as this may damage the object's surface.
  3. For hollow thin parts, ensure the inside is washed thoroughly.
  4. After washing, let the prints air dry for 30 minutes before post-curing.

Post-Curing

  1. It is recommended to use Phrozen's post-curing equipment: "Phrozen Wash & Cure Kit", "Phrozen Mega Cure S UV Curing Light", or other post-curing devices with similar wavelengths.
  2. Post-curing time: 30 minutes.

Note: All specifications represent the resin's limits and may vary depending on the printer used.

Minimum Unsupported Wall Thickness

This specification indicates the thinnest wall thickness that can be printed independently without bending or breaking, even without support. Recommended thickness: ≥ 0.2 mm.

Size Tolerance, X-Y plane

This specification indicates the minimum tolerance for holes and pillars aligned parallel to the XY plane. Recommended tolerance: ≥ 0.06 mm.

Minimum Pin Diameter

This specification indicates the minimum diameter for thin supports and pillars that can be printed independently without bending or breaking. Recommended diameter: ≥ 0.3 mm.

Minimum Hole Diameter, X-Y plane

This specification indicates the minimum hole diameter that can be successfully printed on the XY plane. Recommended diameter: ≥ 0.7 mm.

Minimum Embossed Detail Width, X-Y plane

This specification indicates the minimum line width for embossed details that can be printed successfully. Recommended width: ≥ 0.08 mm.

Minimum Engraved Detail Width, X-Y plane

This specification indicates the minimum line width for engraved details that can be printed successfully. Recommended width: ≥ 0.06 mm.

Maximum Horizontal Bridge Span

This specification indicates the maximum width of a suspended model that can be printed without deformation, provided there are support walls on both sides. Recommended width: ≤ 6 mm.

Minimum Hole Diameter and Engraved Detail Width, Z-axis, at 0.05mm layer height

This specification indicates the minimum hole diameter and minimum engraved groove width that can be successfully printed on the Z-axis with a 0.05mm layer height. Recommended hole diameter: ≥ 0.7 mm. Recommended width: ≥ 0.06 mm.
