Bluetooth User Manual

Setup with Amazon Alexa

Follow these steps to connect your SYLVANIA SMART+ device with Amazon Alexa.

  1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
  2. Make sure your Alexa smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
  3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
  4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap 'Amazon Alexa'.
  5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to enable/update the device firmware.
  6. Set up your device by saying 'Alexa discover devices' or tap 'Take me to Alexa App'.

Setup with Google Home

Follow these steps to connect your SYLVANIA SMART+ device with Google Home.

  1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
  2. Make sure your Google smart speaker is turned on and in close proximity to the device.
  3. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
  4. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap 'Google Home'.
  5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to enable/update the device firmware.
  6. Tap 'Take me to Google Home App'.
  7. Tap '+' (top left corner), then tap 'Set up device'.
  8. Tap 'New devices' and follow the on-screen instructions.

Setup Without a Smart Speaker

Follow these steps if you are not using a smart speaker.

  1. Download the SYLVANIA Smart Home app from the Google Play store or Apple app store.
  2. Turn on the power to the SYLVANIA SMART+ device.
  3. Open the SYLVANIA Smart Home app and tap 'Press Here' for No Smart Speaker.
  4. Log into an existing account or sign up for a new account.
  5. Follow the app on-screen instructions to add a device.

Resetting Your Light to Pairing Mode

To reset your SYLVANIA SMART+ light to pairing mode:

Power the bulb on and off 5 times.

Once reset, a color bulb will cycle through different colors and stop at white. For non-color bulbs, it will only cycle through white colors.
