Assembly Instructions

  1. Place the work bowl over the motor base stem and turn clockwise to lock.
  2. Grip the blade by its hub and place it on the center stem until it drops to the bottom. NEVER TOUCH THE BLADE.
  3. Add food ingredients.
  4. Place the cover on the work bowl, ensuring the long tab is correctly positioned.
  5. Turn the cover counterclockwise to lock.
  6. Plug the unit into a wall socket.

Tips for Processing Food

  • Size: Cut food into uniform pieces (approx. 1/2 inch or as specified).
  • Quantity: Do not overload the bowl (max 2/3 full). Support the unit with one hand during operation.
  • Selecting Controls: Use 'CHOP' for chopping, puréeing, mixing soft foods (herbs, garlic, vegetables). Use 'GRIND' for spices and hard foods (peppercorns, nuts, seeds).
  • Pulse Action: Best for controlling texture and preventing overprocessing.
  • Adding Liquid: Pour through one opening at a time to allow air to escape.
  • Removing Food: After the blade stops, remove the cover and use the spatula to scrape food from the sides.

Cleaning and Storage

  • Rinse bowl, cover, and blade immediately after use.
  • Wash blade assembly, bowl, cover, and spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry. Wash blade carefully.
  • Wipe motor base with a damp cloth. Never submerge the motor base or plug in water.
  • Store the unit assembled to prevent loss of parts. Store blades safely out of reach of children.

Troubleshooting

  • Motor won't start/blade won't turn: Check plug, ensure bowl and cover are securely locked, press only one control button at a time.
  • Uneven Chopping: Food pieces too large or bowl overloaded. Cut food smaller, process smaller batches.
  • Food too fine/watery: Overprocessed. Use brief pulses or shorter processing times.
  • Food sticks to cover/sides: Bowl may be overloaded. Turn off, wait for blade to stop, remove cover, and scrape.
  • Food catches on blade: Bowl may be overloaded. Carefully remove blade and food, then restart.
