CAUTION

TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT, FULLY INSERT.

This apparatus shall always be connected to an AC outlet with a protective grounding connection.

To disconnect the apparatus from the mains, the plug must be pulled out from the mains socket; therefore, the mains plug shall be readily operable.

Do not expose this apparatus to dripping or splashing. Do not put objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.

To turn this apparatus off completely, pull the power plug out of the wall socket. The power plug must be easily and readily accessible at all times.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Ensure your house's AC power supply complies with requirements on the product's identification sticker. Install horizontally on a suitable base with adequate ventilation (7-10 cm). Do not cover ventilation slots. Do not place on hot equipment. Designed for continuous use. Disconnect AC plug to fully turn off. Unplug if unused for a long period.
2. During thunderstorms, disconnect the AC plug. Lightning-induced voltage peaks could damage the unit.
3. Do not expose to direct sunlight or other heat sources to prevent overheating and malfunction.
4. Protect from moisture, excess heat, and strong magnetic or electric fields. Unplug if the unit malfunctions. Not for industrial use; personal use only. Allow 2 hours for unit to reach room temperature if transported in cold weather.
5. Batteries contain harmful chemicals. Do not dispose of in household trash, expose to heat, fire, or disassemble. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

02 PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Top Panel of the Soundbar

• [Volume/Multi Function Button]: In standby, press to turn on. Press to change input source.
• [Mic On/Off Button]: Press to turn the microphone on or off. LED indicator glows red when off.
• [Display]: Shows status information.

Bottom Panel of the Soundbar

• 1 POWER: Connect the Soundbar's AC power cable.
• 2 SERVICE: Connect a USB storage device for software upgrades.
• 3 DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL): Connect to the digital optical output of an external device.
• 4 HDMI IN: Inputs digital video and audio signals via HDMI cable. Connect to an external device's HDMI output.
• 5 HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC): Connect to the HDMI jack on a TV.

03 CONNECTING THE SOUNDBAR

Connecting the power and units

Connect the AC power cables to the Soundbar, Subwoofer, and Surround Speakers (for HW-Q930C model).

[LINK LED] (on Subwoofer and Surround Speakers): Blinks blue during connection. Stops blinking and glows solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar, Subwoofer, and surround speakers.

04 USING A WIRED CONNECTION

Connecting using an HDMI Cable

Connect an external device (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player) to the Soundbar's HDMI IN port using an HDMI cable. Connect the Soundbar's HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC) port to your TV's HDMI ARC/eARC port.

Connecting using an Optical Cable

Connect an external device's optical output to the Soundbar's DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) port using an optical cable.

NOTE: If TV sound is not outputting, select "D.IN" or "TV ARC/eARC" mode on the Soundbar. Use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet certified by HDMI.org. Remove protective covers from optical cable terminals.

Using the Q-Symphony Function

When connected to a compatible Samsung TV, Q-Symphony allows simultaneous sound playback from the Soundbar and TV for a richer, more immersive surround sound experience. The "TV+Soundbar" menu appears on the TV when connected.

Using the SpaceFit Sound

This function analyzes your listening space using the Soundbar's microphone to provide optimal sound. Sound optimization occurs automatically.

05 USING A WIRELESS CONNECTION

Connecting via Bluetooth

[BT READY Mode]: Reconnects to previously paired Samsung TVs or mobile devices.

[BT PAIRING Mode]: Connects a new device. Activate by pressing the [PAIR Button] on the remote or holding the [Mic On/Off Button] on the Soundbar for over 5 seconds while in "BT" mode.

NOTE: If a PIN code is requested, enter '0000'.

Connecting via Wi-Fi (Wireless Network)

Requires the SmartThings app. Connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV. Install and launch the SmartThings app, then follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Soundbar to your Wi-Fi network.

06 TROUBLESHOOTING

Soundbar does not turn on.

Check if the power cord is correctly inserted.

Subwoofer or surround speakers not automatically connected:

1. Turn off the Soundbar main unit.
2. Press and hold [ID SET Button] on the rear of the subwoofer and surround speakers for at least 5 seconds.
3. Press the [UP Button] on the remote control for 5 seconds.
4. Check if the [LINK LED] is solid blue (connection complete).

Soundbar works erratically.

Remove and reinsert the power cord. Try initializing the product. Turn on the power if the Soundbar turns off due to no signal.

Remote control does not work.

Point the remote directly at the soundbar. Replace batteries with new ones.

The Soundbar indicator turns solid red.

The microphone is turned off. Turn on the microphone.

Sound is not output from the soundbar.

Adjust the Soundbar volume or the external device's volume. Select "Soundbar" for TV sound output (Samsung TV: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output). Remove and reconnect cables.

Sound is not output from the subwoofer or surround speakers.

Check if the [LINK LED] on the rear of the Subwoofer and Surround Speakers is blue. Reconnect if the blue LED blinks or the red LED lights.

If the TV is not connected via HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC):

Check HDMI cable connection to the ARC terminal. Ensure HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) is activated on the TV (Samsung TV: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) ON).

Soundbar will not connect via Bluetooth.

Switch to "BT PAIRING" mode. Remove the Bluetooth speaker list on the device and reconnect (Samsung TV: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List).

Sound drops out when connected via Bluetooth.

Check for radio interference from nearby devices (microwaves, routers). Ensure the Bluetooth device is within range. Avoid body contact with the Bluetooth transceiver or metal furniture.

Soundbar will not connect to Wi-Fi.

Ensure the wireless router is on and reboot it. Move the router closer to the soundbar or remove obstacles if the signal is weak.

The soundbar does not turn on automatically with the TV.

Turn off the TV first. Power synchronization is disabled if the Soundbar is turned off while watching TV.

PRECAUTIONS

The Soundbar will restart automatically if Wi-Fi is turned on/off.

Wi-Fi Port deactivation method: Press the [CH LEVEL Button] on the remote control for 30 seconds to turn Wi-Fi On/Off.

Bluetooth Port deactivation method: Press the [TONE CONTROL Button] on the remote control for 30 seconds to turn Bluetooth On/Off.
