This user manual has been specially designed to guide you through the functions and features of your device.

  1. Please read this manual carefully before using your device to ensure safe and correct use.
  2. The descriptions in this manual are based on the default settings of your device.
  3. Do not use this unit near water. Do not place over the unit any container with liquid inside.
  4. Please do not put your device in high temperature, moisture or dust place; the tablet is not waterproof.
  5. Avoid falling or violent collision, do not violently shake the touch screen, otherwise, it could lead to damage or display unnormal.
  6. If system shutdown automatically, bootable again soon after the shutdown.
  7. Please charge the tablet regularly if not use it for long time to avoid the damage caused by the excessive consumption from battery.
  8. Do not disassemble or use alcohol, thinner or benzene class to swab product surface.
  9. Please do not use the tablet when driving or walking in the street, otherwise it may lead an accident.
  10. Please choose the appropriate volume, if had tinnitus, please lower the volume or stop using.
  11. Memory space available dishonest nominal for the android system itself takes up part of the memory space and the operation of the program will also take up space if you open them.
  12. Storage capacity that dishonest nominal for android system occupies about hundreds of MB storage capacity, also in order to install the software needs, the system must lay off certain storage capacity, so theactual usable space and nominal space have deviation.

Chapter One: Overview

1.1 Appearance

A Proscan PLT8235G tablet is shown displaying its home screen. The screen features a tropical wallpaper with a palm tree and ocean. Various app icons are visible, including YouTube, Gmail, Chrome, Play Store, and others. A status bar at the bottom shows navigation icons, time (03:17), and battery indicator.

1.2 Buttons

Power button: Long press for 2-3 seconds to open the screen. A short press enters the off-screen state, and another short press lights up the screen. Note: If the tablet is hanging, use a small hardware tool to press the reset button located at the bottom upper right corner.

Volume: Press Volume+/- to adjust the volume.

1.3 Open and shut down

Open: Long press the power button for 2-3 seconds. Pictures will show up until the interface appears.

Shut down: Long press the power button. The screen will prompt "do you want shut down". Press OK to shut down. If the tablet is in charging state and you press the power button, it will show the charging feature. Pressing the power button again will open the tablet.

1.4 Open and close standby mode

Open the standby mode: In boot mode, tap the power button to enter standby mode, which saves power.

Close the standby mode: In standby mode, a light tap of the power button returns the device to the normal state.

1.5 Lock and unlock the screen

Lock: You can set the sleep time in the system display settings. The system will sleep automatically and lock the screen to standby mode if there is no activity for the preset standby time.

Unlock: Move the sign [unlock symbol] to unlock. Drag this [unlock symbol] to unlock the screen and enter the application interface.

1.6 Homepage Information Column

The top information bar includes: Voice search icon, Back arrow icon, Recent search icon, Menu shortcut key icon, USB icon, WIFI icon, Time display, and Battery power indicator.

1.7 Text Input

When using the tablet, you can use the virtual keyboard to enter text, numbers, and symbols directly by touching the screen. After selecting the Android input method, the default keyboard is displayed.

To switch between numbers and letters, please press the [numbers/symbols key] button. To switch between capital and lowercase letters, please press the [shift key] button.

1.8 Reset

Press the reset button at the bottom upper right corner of the device. The device will reset and power off. Press the power button for 2-3 seconds to restart.

1.9 USB connect

Connect your tablet to a PC using the in-box USB cable. A [USB icon] will appear on your tablet. Click this sign and turn on USB storage to connect your device. Turn off USB storage to disconnect your device from the PC.

1.11 Cut, copy, paste, move, share operation of file, video, photo and music

The FileBrowser application allows for file management. Icons represent various functions:

  • [Home icon]: Show home page
  • [List icon]: Select/open mode
  • [Edit icon]: Show edit dialog
  • [Sort icon]: Show sort dialog
  • [Back arrow icon]: Back to parent directory
  • [Grid icon]: View by thumbnail

Chapter Two: Internet

2.1 Browser

Before using the web browser, ensure you have network support. If you encounter network problems, please contact your network operator or service provider. The tablet's web browser can connect to the Internet via WIFI.

Please touch the [menu icon] (Setting) to set up WIFI to use the browser normally.

Touch the [browser icon] in the application list to enter the browser pages. The default homepage displays Recently Viewed pages.

The browser supports the following features:

Enter the URL into the input area to get the soft keyboard, then text the URL.

  • Bookmark: Click the [bookmark icon] (star) to add the current page to bookmarks.
  • Touch the [bookmark icon] (star) to read favorite websites.
  • Touch the [search icon] (magnifying glass) to search the internet.
  • Touch the [+] icon to add a new browser tab.
  • Touch the [close icon] (X) to close the browser.

Chapter Three: Applications

3.1 Explorer

Touch the [File manager icon] in the application list. This application supports mutual copying of files between the SD Card, internal memory, and USB storage.

3.2 Downloads

Click the [download icon] in the application list to preview downloading or completed document contents. Click a downloaded file to stop or delete it.

Chapter Four: System Setting

Click the [settings icon] to enter the system setting interface.

4.1 Wireless networks setting

This module includes wireless and network settings. Open wireless LAN switches, and the system will scan for available wireless networks, displaying them in a list. If a local area network has the [encrypted Wi-Fi icon] next to it, it means the network is encrypted and requires a password for connection. The [Open Wi-Fi icon] indicates networks that do not require a password and can be connected directly. You can choose a network from the list and click to connect, or click 'advanced' and then 'connected to network'. You can also manually add a wireless local area network.

Network notice: Opening the switch will alert you to any open networks.

The wireless local area network certificate manages wireless local area network loading and management.

4.2 Sound setting

In Sound setting, you can choose mute switch and access more detailed settings. Click the volume setting to configure notice, media, and disk boot switch voice, alarm volume, and prompt operation sound for the bell and software.

4.3 Display setting

Display settings include: Brightness, Wallpapers Settings, Automatic rotating Settings, Dormancy time, and Font size.

Brightness: Adjust brightness manually to your preference.

Wallpaper Settings: Set your wallpaper and dynamic wallpaper. Wallpapers can be chosen from the gallery.

Dormancy time: When the screen is in a light state for a period without operations, it will automatically lock to save power.

Font size: Set the font size according to your preference: small, ordinary, big, or huge.

4.4 Application setting

In application settings, you can manage running services and access rights management, primarily for developers. Application management allows you to easily manage and delete installed applications. Navigate to the application list, click sort buttons by name to order alphabetically, or use the 'all' menu to scan running programs or those provided by third-party developers. Clicking on an application shows its relevant information, allowing you to clear cache, unload programs, reset defaults, or force stop operations.

Running services: End and configure programs that are currently running.

Access management: Manage applications' access to content permissions by enabling or prohibiting access.

4.5 Date & Time setting

In this interface, you can set up your system time and series options. Time setting allows you to use automatic time from the network, choose the time zone, and set the specific date, time, and display format.

4.6 Language and input Setting

In this interface, you can choose your desired language. Input method settings allow users to add or delete words in the dictionary. The Android keyboard can be set to automatically capitalize letters.

Please note: Market applications used for downloading apps/games, such as SLIDE ME, APTOIDE, or GETJAR, are independently owned and operated. If any of these applications cease to function, it is NOT a manufacturing defect of the tablet. For further questions or inquiries, feel free to contact customer service.
